I think it hits the design space problem really hard though, and prepping the quest reward and vanish is why Quest Rogue is so oppressive.

Like it wouldnt surprise me if it was knocked to 2 instead of 3.

this is probably a BOLD PREDICTION but I don't think caverns below is gonna get nerfed again.

I agree prep is a bizarre problem but it's one that is not easy to fix. akira is pretty much on the money here. the entire balance of the rogue class is built around the prep card existing. changing that means that every spell in their arsenal is fundamentally changed implicitly. trying to balance how to do that properly is just a nightmare that I doubt blizzard wants to attempt.

Eh, Rogue still has a tier one deck that doesnt use Prep, Im not convinced it will decimate the class the way Win Axe did for Warrior

Honestly I think mana reduction to 2 is ok and definitely still playable

My experience in this brawl so far has been wonderful. Made a Priest deck because I figure everyone is playing Hunter, seeing as everyone is already playing Egg Hunter on ladder. Nope, Rogue. Turn one, he coins out Roll the Bones. Gets one draw and concedes. Even in a mode specifically designed around deathrattles that card never draws more than once.

And my pack gave me Malygos. An exceptionally fine brawl experience.

35 dust means you found a common you didn't have.

And there's no way they nerf quest rogue again. They've already changed it twice. Maybe the cards around it, but The Caverns Below has been hammered enough. It's not the quest's fault Giggling Inventor exists.

What if you make prep so it reduces the next spell played after the current turn? IDK much about the game meta, but it would fit the card flavor better.

If you have quests to play Warlock cards and Even cards, don't run Gnomeferatu. I just played it on turn two in two consecutive games, milled Togwaggle and Jaina and got two instant concedes. Really not helping my quest progression. And it was in casual so the wins didn't matter either.

So i cut 3 cards from the standard token package.

In their place i included azalina, florist and togwaggle.

It makes the match ups where token is good slightly less good because now i have 3 dead cards to draw into.

But when i run into control warrior or control warlock i just win. They are so focused on using their resources to clear the 3-5 sticky boards i can generate that after im out of my token resources they think the game is over.

And then 2 turns later they are 10~ cards ahead of me into fatigue wondering what went wrong.

Have you seen the "new" Token list that doesn't run Violet Teacher? A couple Strongshell Scavengers, Floop, one of Chain Gang. Anyway, looks like a cool list, and I'm interested in giving it a shot.

Played 15 games with quest rogue. I have yet to see Prep or Brewmaster. Ive drawn one Shadowstep in 15 games. The only time I get the quest is with Sonya plus a boar. Mimic Pod has yet to draw a bounce effect and has hit Valeera three times. All 15 games were against hunter or aggro.

What makes this deck even more annoying to lose to is the draw luck required to win with it, and how opponents draw perfectly fine every single time.

Skill level will never decide a single game of Hearthstone. I can play any deck and it does not matter. I am always directly counterpicked and my opponents ALWAYS draw better. Its an embarrassment to humanity that there are people out there dumb enough to think skill matters in this game. It quite simply does not.

I was there Saturday as well, but my main goal was to get my comics signed and see everything in Artist Alley, so between those, plus making sure I at least walked through both buildings at least once, and lunch, a 10 person Hearthstone line wasn't on the list of priorities.

I'm currently splitting my time between NA and Asia.

On NA I want to push to legend using meta decks.

On Asia I went through the tutorials etc and I'm leveling my classes up to 10 and getting the first legend within 10 packs from each currently available expansion so I can dust it all and climb Asia with golden whizbang.

I think I'm nearly there. I just need my ungoro and boomsday and classic legendary and I'm within 3-5 packs on each.

Only 1 class left to hit and I just got the 300 gold for 100 wins in any mode. Most of those being against the advanced AI shaman. Should have golden whizbang by tomorrow which is about a 3-4 day turnaround for that on a fresh account.

I just finished one of the nuttiest games I've played in quite a while. Playing my Control Warrior against Togwaggle Druid, which is pretty much a match I haven't figured out any way to win yet with my "Just kill everything and you'll eventually win?" strategy. So of course he gets to fatigue and has 50 armor, and I figure everything is over. Togwaggle comes down, he Naturalizes it and plays his Azalina. Boned. Still, I use my lone copy of Dead Man's Hand to at least stretch the game out. Who knows, maybe he goes afk. Then he uses Dead Man's Hand.

While he has 50 armor, I spend my turns somewhere between 12-25, so we both have a lot of armor and too many copies of Shield Slam with nothing to use them on. We both have Brawls, Warpaths, MCTs and Drywhisker Armorers in varying amounts as well as other Warrior junk. Turns come and go, I drag things out because I'm stubborn, and then my win condition appears. I draw the copy of Ransom I put in my deck with the Dead Man's Hand. If he hasn't drawn the copy he put in with Dead Man's Hand yet I have a guaranteed win. I flip decks and let him draw from my no-ransom-left deck. He flips back. I flip again. Few turns later, he concedes.

Played to my outs. Didn't know I had any and wasn't aware that I was playing to them, but I got there. Feels good to win a game you thought was legitimately 0% in your favor.
