While I dislike Sam's antiquated views towards female sexuality, she seems like a nice, kind, and genuine person. Yet they're bitching her out because they wanted a unanimous vote against "awful" Bayleigh, and because she's upset at Bayleigh's eviction. I swear, that mentality is what gives us bland-as-fuck gamebot seasons like BB16.

Bay HAS been awful all week and the episodes are just a slice of the truth. Try watching her behavior every day on the live feeds. Theres no air quotes needed, and your bias and/or ignorance show if you think her attitude is bizarrely acceptable. Its NOT acceptable behavior. Shes offensive (remarks on Fessy, JC, RS, Scottie), ignorant (gosh, where to start), rude (to Tyler, Scottie, RS), condescending (to everyone), went on power trips out the wazoo (hello last week), plus more. Terrible game player too.

It was like watching a BB19 player all over again, and theres no defense of it. She was rightfully reviled by a lot of fans all through her own actions. The real asshole is Bay, though you can continue to not see it that way all you want.

Include her at the top for her entertainment value, sure. She brought that. But make no mistake, she was awful as a human being. And Im not so far removed to willingly ignore that.

I'm not defending Bayleigh. I'm just saying that she and the Foutte side of the house have had their negatives overemphasized by the Big Brother Reddit to the point where, when a massive blow-up like this one (or the arrogance of last week) take place, it feels like she's been at the same level non-stop, when she hasn't. When the JC thing happened, there were like, half a dozen threads trashing Bayleigh, and lost in all of that was the fact that JC later went back to L6 and told them he didn't mean his apology and a whole mess of other crap that made HIM look bad, but you wouldn't know about because it was VITAL to demonize any and all members of Foutte.

Yeah, I enjoy following Jokers to see the trends over the season.

That said Jokers is basically a group of casual feedsters. I definitely dont agree with their ratings a lot of the time. Like when they had Jordan at #1 all season in BB13.

Sam is nice, the problem is she just doesn't have the right personality for the game. She's too nice. She doesn't know how to really play, and it's getting annoying. It's to the point people have to walk on eggshells with her almost as much as they did Bayleigh, because she's getting super paranoid that everyone is manipulating her and they're just using her for her vote and they're not her friends and yadda yadda, and so people have to constantly reassure her and ugh.

Yet another great episode. Bayleigh really brought the drama. This season has been pretty damn good.

But yeah, she was a pretty bad person who treated her own alliance like garbage and saw herself as the queen. If anyone showed her the slightest disrespect (real, or imagined) she would fly off the handle, but she would regularly treat people horribly, much worse than how she thought people were treating her. Reddit isn't "overreacting" to her or whatever. The only redeeming factor to her was that she actually was self interested and played for her game (after Swaggy was evicted, at least). But overall she was annoying because while she demanded loyalty from her allies and acted extremely upset and personally betrayed when she perceived they werent loyal (even though they were), she had no loyalty to them at all. This is fine as game strategy, but she always made it completely personal. That's the most frustrating kind of player.

Sam also isn't really that nice. She just has a sunny disposition with that southern charm. She thinks she's really nice, so that makes you believe it too. She has a very "holier than thou" attitude about her mindset on the game - she thinks that she's above the petty actions the rest of the players engage in (IE, playing Big Brother) and because of that she's an objectively superior person and player. But she's just somebody who doesn't care about winning, so she's a really bad game player in addition to being a jerk.

And that's ignoring her actual holier than thou attitude towards Haleigh in regards to the flirting (even though she does the same things with Fessy, but doesn't realize that's what she's doing)

She regularly blows up about what other people are doing in the house and how they are all such terrible people, but Tyler always reels her back in and keeps her from actually doing something on the level of the house meeting. In some ways it's kinda similar to his relationship with Kaitlyn, how she would always do stupid shit until he'd show up and lay down some commmon sense again. Then when he left her alone long enough she'd start making bad moves again. Sam's like that except instead of making bad moves she's just a judgemental jerk.

Just like with Kaitlyn, I think the length of time Tyler will continue bothering to do this has an expiration date. And it's coming up soon.

I say this as someone who's pregame winner pick was Sam and was a huge fan of hers in the first few weeks. She's not the person she wants to believe she is.

Bayleigh hated Tyler so much because he did one of the worst things anyone had ever done to her: He told her "Good morning." I'm serious. She went on a vendetta against him because how dare he do that. She's a horrible person who said some nasty things about everyone in the house, including her friends, and some overly racist things. She was raised a spoiled brat and that - plus the fact that she was the first to enter the house (you DO NOT do that!) - damned her in Big Brother. I have very little nice to say about her so I'm going to stop there.

Sam has a few niceties but is also quite selfish and unpleasant. She doesn't say as many awful things as Bayleigh does, but I agree she thinks her shit doesn't stink. Her "female empowerment" thing isn't really working well for her. Tyler wanted a unanimous vote against Bay and her defying him by casting a hinky out of sympathy has expedited his disposal of her. I would think, and I don't know this for sure since I don't have the overnight feeds data, that his plan is to convince Haleigh to "put Sam up as a pawn next to her target" even if that target is himself and then the rest of the Level 6 group evicts her. If Level 6 wins H@CK3R, that's enough to lynch with them nullifying Fessy's vote. If Level 6 doesn't win H@CK3R, we'll say Brett can't vote... Angela, Kaycee, and JC is not enough since Haleigh would break a 3-3 tie unfavorably and Scottie is a wildcard.

A lot rests on who the H@CK3R is. I'm really glad this twist is only two weeks because it's undermining the purity of the game... but at least it gave us one of the best house meetings I can remember. I can't think of any this exciting since Dan's Funeral. Tyler made a mistake - you don't ask "Is ___ going up if I use the Veto?" because Bayleigh used that against him by "convenient misinterpretation" (though in her case it may not have been a conscious lie - she might've actually misinterpreted since she's not too bright). You ask "If I use the Veto, who are you thinking of putting up?" Let Bayleigh be the one to name names.

It's amazing how Tyler is 30% of the house right now, since Angela and Kaycee are extensions of him and are both willing to fall on the sword for him if they have to. That said, both are unaware that Tyler has an idol, so if he has to play it... I wonder what that'll do to his position in the house.

This model would work so well:
14 complete strangers
Two one-off twists
No central gimmick
One double eviction
80ish days
Diverse cast in age, experience, background, etc.

Survivor is sadly going in the same direction of the game being more driven by twists. If Big Brother hit the brakes with the twists, it would suddenly and expect-the-unexpectedly become the better show.

Also the house this season is phenomenal. Glad they realized that a cool theme for viewers but an unnerving environment to live in is the way to go.

It's the same thing with Survivor. It'll never go back to basics so there's no point bringing it up. Get used to the twists.

The hacker twist is bad but we've seen way worse. All of these twists are basically just bullets being shot at the contestants (and those of us who prefer the game more than just shaking the snow globe for the sake of it). At least it hasn't taken anyone out yet that wouldn't already be gone.

This has actually been hilarious so far when you think about it. Kaitlyn failed the bonus life. Bayleigh was evicted without using her power. Tyler got off the block and Bayleigh was put up like she would've been anyway. The powers so far have been total duds. Then again you can still say it was the existence of a power that was Bayleigh's (and Steve's) downfall.

If noms stay the same and Faysal gets vote blocked, it shouldn't matter what Scottie/Sam do, since it should still be Tyler/Kaycee/Brett/JC to evict Rockstar. JC's thing is he likes to keep the sides relatively even, but if he flipped and it ended up 3-3, I think he's smart enough to realize it'd be too obvious it was him who flipped, so he probably wouldn't do it.

Most morons will like a twist if it benefits their favorite player and hate it if it benefits someone they don't care for. People defending a twist because they like so-and-so or hating on it because they hate so-and-so need to look at it objectively instead of deciding based on who it helps. Praise good twists like hidden immunity idols (when not in abundance), the tribe swap, the power apps this year and last, double evictions, etc. Hate on objectively bad twists like excess advantages, the final four fire-making, Battle of the Block, AmERICa's Player, etc. - twists that undermine the show no matter who it benefits. But people can't seem to figure those things out. That's the masses for you: They need to be told what to believe because they're too dumb to figure it out for themselves.

Speaking of dumbness, Haleigh wants to restore her original noms now instead of backdooring Tyler, with Hacker Kaycee being the target. Uh, sure... ignore the biggest threat in the house and let him keep his immunity idol.

I don't think JC is a reliable vote in that case. There was discussion earlier about how people view Sam and JC as level 6, and I think it's reasonable to just say Sam was Level 6 as she was in their pocket, just like it was probably fine to say Bayleigh or Scottie was FOUTTE even though they technically weren't in that alliance, but it's important to understand that JC is most definitely not part of level 6. He's worked with them closely, but he doesn't actually know the alliance exists, and he's working with FOUTTE almost as much. He's definitively in the middle. He hasn't just been working with Level 6 to destabilize FOUTTE (which he has done brilliantly) he's also maintaining his allies in the FOUTTE side and making sure the rest of the house takes just as much damage as FOUTTE does. Level 6 is due to lose another member after Bayleigh went home to keep things even for him, since he doesn't want one side to become more powerful than the other. If he's the swing vote to keep an L6, that person is in trouble.

That said, if the "L6" member on the line is Sam, he will probably be perfectly happy evening the sides by cutting her.

I think L6 wants to keep noms the same if they win veto, but I think the best thing to do is for Kaycee to win veto, take Angela down, Tyler clouds himself so he can't be backdoored, and Sam (or maybe even someone better) gets put up because Brett has somehow misted FOUTTE into thinking he's on an island. Then they clearly control the vote, and hopefully win next HoH.

So to what Andy put in spoilers, on this mornings live feed update it really sounds like Haeleigh is trying to keep a door open with Tyler. I dont think he will take it but it's not bad to make options. But the most likely to be is it just an emotional reaction to KC winning the hacker

I finished Big Brother 8. It was fun but a lot of the negative took some of the winds out of its sails for me plus I didnt love the Americas player twist. I would have liked to see Eric play where he controls himself. Also, funny note on Eric, to this point the two big names I recognized that the internet loves and the both ironically had showmance despite the internets hate for them lol. (I'm talking Will and Eric)
