If the Mariners start playing well again the Yankees could conceivably miss out too. But it'll just be Seattle that misses.

Is it worse to not vote, or to vote when having done basically 0 research on any of the candidates? Specifically for primary (not presidential) elections

I really don't see the Mariners being able to keep the Yankees or Astros out of the playoffs. I think recent Mariners are a more accurate representation of who they really are than early-season Mariners. But it's possible they can have more ups; the Rockies seem to be able to keep rebounding, even though they aren't that good.

I didn't vote in the primaries cause there were barely even any contested races and I don't know anything about them and chances are I'll just be voting for whoever wins the primary anyway

You never know. No one thought the Royals would hang around in 2014 and they ended up in the World Series.

Man, there must be a lot of teams in MLB that hate the AL Central. You could take up to the third place team in every other division (and fourth place for some of them) and they'd be leading that division. At least the Indians are good though and it's not like they're going to take the division with 80 wins or something

There was a point earlier this year where the Indians were doing really bad and I had some teeny hope of an 80-82 division winner but it's not gonna happen. Their bullpen is going to be what sinks them in the playoffs though.

It's like when the 7-9 Seahawks won the division and made the playoffs

The Mariners got James Paxton back and he got hit by a line drive in the first inning. Being a Mariners fan must really suck

I was just saying how I genuinely feel bad for Nats fans almost every time I watch them. Their team suffers so many humiliations year after year

That seems bad but IIRC around this time last year they were losing 17 of 18 or something ridiculous. Of course they also did that with like a 10 game lead because they were basically this year's Red Sox up until that point

Lol yeah it's pretty crazy. Two backdoor wild card ws titles with zero division titles. But still a ws title is a ws title. That's the thing with baseball though. Team's just gotta get hot at the right time

They should force Jeter to pay the rest of Stanton's salary.

It's just stupid because he hasn't even really showboated on his homeruns. I think baseball is too sensitive to celebrating in general though

Since the Cardinals are doing well all their Facebook posts have been getting a lot of action lately and every single one has a big comment about how matheny leaving made the team good and then a string of furious replies about how it wasn't his fault the team underperformed. Protect Mike Matheny at all costs!!

I'm sure it's the same for all sports, but vikings/wild Facebook comments are some of the worst on the internet

I don't think Mike is cool enough for that story to be believable with him as the protagonist

Weird.. on my way back from lunch I went by this hotel where 2 guys had gotten out of their car and were signing autographs for a crowd of like 12 grown men. One had a big picture of a baseball player, and then 2 guys started walking toward target field. I assumed they were tigers players but seems weird so many people were there for autographs

There is a hotel here downtown that pretty much everyone famous stays at, (athletes, musicians, actors, etc.) there is a side door that busses and private cars wait for those people to ride to the airport. There are always people hanging out their for autographs.

My friend from college got married a few years ago and had the wedding there. Very fancy place. I randomly heard a Jim Gaffigan standup bit and he mentioned the Pfister

The pool on the top floor is badass. Glass windows all the way around and you get a great view of the lake and rest of the skyline

Do you think Miguel Cabrera will get to 500 home runs? He's 35 away as of now but obviously his best days are behind him and who knows how he'll come back from his injury. I remember when he seemed like a lock for 500 and a decent possibility for 600, but now I'm not sure he'll even get to 500.

He's signed til 2023 amazingly but I doubt he'll last that long. The Yankees even managed to force A-Rod into retiring just 4 homers away from 700.

Yeah, the pool area has a nice view of the lake. My wife works downtown and her office has a window that has a similar view of the lake.

I was wondering the same thing. I liked Diablo 1 and 2 but never played 3 because it looked a bit different than the previous two.

I've played it for maybe 20 minutes but I have friends who love it and have been playing it on and off for years. If you like that kind of game it seems good and has tons of content, and apparently it's fun to play casually or hardcore.

Yes, I've played it a lot and it is indeed fun. The story itself is okay (and too easy), but the real fun for me was the end-game content where you can go through some really tough dungeons to get rare loot, and create armor sets that specialize your character toward a playstyle you've enjoyed.

For example, if you're a Demon Hunter and you've really enjoyed dashing around and using throwing knives; there's a set that increases your amount of dashes and gives you extra knives usage so you can spam it. If your favorite ability is where you turn into a demon; there's a set you can craft that makes you stay in demon form almost infinitely. It's all up to how you want to build it, and I really like that about this game.

I just want to know why a game that's been on consoles for four years already is getting a technically worse port and a full $60 price tag.

I have two hours to start Octopath Traveler and I'm sitting here unable to choose which character to pick. Games didn't used to be this stressful for me.
