Why do the Rockies have shit-ass Wade Davis closing games instead of Ottavino

Looks like we both have a problem with washed-up ex-Royals

Every time I watch the Giants give up a bunch or runs I wonder why it was obvious to me that their pitching was going to be awful before the season but they made no attempts to improve it, instead getting McCutchen and Longoria.

What I'm trying to say is I'm smarter than the Giants

I think the Cardinals made a smart move trading for Ozuna but it hasn't paid off obviously. But at the time I did say just adding him wasn't gonna be enough to compete with the Cubs so I'm also smarter than the Cardinals. The one saving grace of this season is they finally got with the program and fired Matheny.

Apparently he's just been DHing full-time recently. I haven't heard much about him lately and I guess that's why. Kind of weird to me that they'd still have him hitting when he can't pitch because of injury; isn't that risky? Especially given that he was expected to pan out as a far more valuable pitcher than hitter.

Well I'm sure it was part of his agreement with the Angels that he would get a lot of time at the dish. And he's been really good as a hitter too.

The dumb president's latest petty fight he's picking is with a guy who's beloved in a swing state.

This is excellent. No one has been elected president without winning Ohio since JFK. LeBron is saving us from second term Trump.

I assume some people are upset with LeBron but it definitely isn't nearly as bad as when he left the first time. Building that school added a lot of good will too. When he went to Miami, I don't remember him really showing his face in Ohio again.

Also, real talk, I expect Trump to get blown out even more in the popular vote and probably lose at least one of his swing states, but I'm worried that still won't be enough. Americans are really dumb and Republicans don't actually care that much about Russian meddling

LeBron actively tried to stop trump last time and it didn't work. If you're a trump guy at this point you're a trump guy at the expense of everything else you used to like. No sports, no tv, no comedy, just our fat senile Nazi president

I don't think it'll happen but I find it hilarious that people are speculating on Kobe coming out of retirement, like it would be this really cool thing. Does everyone forget that he became one of the worst players in the league like five years ago? I bet the Lakers know this too, but if he really did want to come back, would they be willing to say no? Would they give him a small role, or would they still let him chuck a bunch of shots playing starter minutes now that they're actually contending for the playoffs?

I kind of want it to happen just to see what a trainwreck it would be

I like on the GameFAQs sports boards when you see people who are fans of both the Patriots and Warriors, or like the Cowboys, Lakers and Yankees and you wonder if they're real people.

My favorite though is Lizzie, who literally has six MLB teams in her favorite teams sig and two of them are in the same damn division (Mariners and Angels)

This Aaron Donald situation is interesting. It seems like he's serious about not playing a snap until he has a new contract and I don't even know if the Rams can pay him what he wants/what he's worth. He kind of got screwed by the CBA...4 year rookie contract, 5th year option, and then they could franchise tag him at least once, never having guaranteed money for more than 1 season at a time.
