first world problem that people in the West made up?

I mean come, this whole "cultural appropriation" BS only applies to White people who is supposedly trying to "steal" any Non-White European culture by buying their clothes and wearing them or even eating certain foods that originated from Non-Whites(yes I said that), even when that's isn't the case at all.

I've seen many Non-Whites wearing dresses and many clothes that were originally made by either the French or Italians(or Southern Europeans in general) yet you never hear about any of them crying about "Cultural Appropriation" over this.

Depends on the circumstances. No reason for a non-Hispanic kid to have a Quinceaera, ok?

People of color are always exempt from the rules because muh oppression.

Not true, especially depending on the circumstances. There's as much reason for a non-hispanic kid to have one as a hispanic kid because it's culture-dependent rather than racially-dependent.

To be fair, you shouldn't even need to, considering Sweet Sixteen parties have been a thing for pretty much forever, and they're basically the same thing except for a year difference in age.

An argument could be made that non-Hispanics who live in a heavily Hispanic-population area might be more inclined to want a Quinceaera rather than a Sweet Sixteen, but that's not even really cultural appropriation as much as it is cultural diffusion (and cultural diffusion itself is responsible for like 97% of modern Mexican culture as-is anyway, so if you're against it you're basically saying that nearly everything Mexicans do is offensive regardless).

Though personally, I find both concepts kind of stupid anyway. Teenage coming-of-age ceremonies in general are kind of outmoded in the modern age, when most people don't start acting like adults until they're at least in their late 20s (if ever). Traditions rooted in heavily agricultural or industrial societies don't really map as well to higher technological/digital cultures.

To defend my earlier comment, I had thought that those were more ingrained into Hispanic culture than I thought they were.

Regardless, I do believe that there are likely a few things out there that you probably shouldn't do because it's weird. Maybe replace non-Hispanic Quinceaera with an atheist Bar Mitzvah and it would make more sense. Idk, it really doesn't bother me, nor would I hold anyone in disdain for "cultural appropriation", but I do believe that some things are just kinda weird otherwise.
