Bought it at launch on 360. Brought my TV to my friends place and we literally played for 12 hours. Best day ever. Also have it on PC but haven't spent a ton of time on that version outside of trying goofy mods.

I've only bought it once in PC, and it included all the dlc. And of course I hot the SE for free.

My brothers/family bought it on x360, PS4 se, and psvr

4 times.

PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and finally the Special Edition for PC. I would have only bought it once if I had a gaming PC at the time.

But seriously, enough with Skyrim ports, can we get Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and possibly Fallout New Vegas ports/enhanced editions instead?

Just once, and that was only because it came with the VR headset. I would've preferred DOOM VFR, but that one didn't come with the move remotes or anything.

I started wondering about that once ESO took off. Being able to monetize the fuck out of an MMO and occasionally release new "expansions" for it to refresh the customer base and get another quick infusion of cash is way more profitable than actually releasing new stand-alone single-player games, and GTA Online has sort of shown AAA developers just how effective that can be if you do it right.

A lot of people were annoyed when they came out with the Summerset expansion for ESO for that very reason - the assumption being that, whatever TESVI might turn out to be (assuming it comes out at all), them releasing that off ESO tends to suggest they won't be doing Summerset any time soon as a stand-alone game.

You could do this with multiple big name franchises and tons of people will waste their money time and time again. Call of duty, halo, FF, etc. Some fanbases will buy fucking anything with their favorite game's title slapped on it. It's annoying to people like me who won't and are actually waiting on new material. I can't respect a company that won't put in the effort to just make a new game that would also make a shitload of money. They're just being lazy and thinking short term profit with the least amount of effort

360, Ps3, and Ps4. I expect ill probably pick it up on the Ps5 as well.

I don't care if you hate it or love it but the Elder Scrolls series has been a favorite since Daggerfall. I will always day 1 the original release in the Elder Scrolls series.... Will wait till the GOTY edition comes on sale to play it again.
I normally wouldn't have bought a Console edition however but I think the PS3 version came free with the PS3 Slim I bought... Will get the Switch version because it combines my two favorite franchises.... Gotta have that official Master Sword. But I won't pay more then 30 dollars for it.

Skyrim is the new Sonic 1.

Ported to every system in existence, and nobody cares about the game anymore.

Once, on PC. Since I owned all the DLC, I also got the Special Edition for free, though I've yet to play it because of mod incompatibility.

I MIGHT buy it on Switch if I can ever find it for like $10, because having a portable, simple Skyrim sounds like it might be fun.

I don't really have a problem with the original release of the game, a Legendary Edition with all the DLC, a next gen port and a port for the Switch.

VR version feels wrong though. Could have integrated that into the "Special Edition" instead of selling it separately.

I dont think so. Its a total overhaul of the game. New controls and interface along with different fps requirements. Not something they could have just added on with DLC

It would be something bad if they didnt work on new games and just kept re releasing the same game over and over again but its now known publicly(no speculations no youtuber theories etc) that Bethesda is working on Starfield and ES6 and that for me it all I wanted from E3

It may be possible but I imagine it would be a challenge considering the game has to be able to maintain a stable 60fps for the VR version, which represents a significant amount of manhours to rebuild the way the game works and test everything all over again

They spent a lot more time and money for that version of the game compared to dlc or an expansion
