Even with an early Hemet to fix draws, I can't draw Chain Gang on time.

Another luck-based deck that I can't play, because Hearthstone is not skill based.

Odd Paladin directly counters Shudderwock Shaman unless Shaman gets *perfect* draws.

So of course he gets literal perfect draws in the literal perfect order. The people at high rank aren't better at this game; they're just absurdly lucky, which is the only actual factor deciding wins in Hearthstone.

There is no skill component in Hearthstone. End of story.

For me, Hearthstone is all about finding a deck I enjoy playing regardless of how 'good' it is in the meta.

If I find one such deck, I'll play more. If I don't, I don't.

Right after this expansion came out there was nothing I liked. After the nerfs, I really like playing Awaken Priest with the dragon package for aggro.

Which after looking it up, appears to be a low T3/high T4 deck. Which is actually higher than I thought!

Point is I get to play Memeadictus and it makes me happy.

Damn I had some good games this morning. When you play fun home brew decks and manage to fine tune them to get it just right and theyre actually ladder viable, you get some great games where your decisions feel great and matter so much.

I played one game on ladder and thankfully won (control priest vs even shaman).

It took me like 4 minutes to find a match.

Also played two tavern brawls (because I lost the first one).

More things

The shaman legendary does overload twice

Seems magnetic works where it combines if placed to the left of a mech and does not if placed to the right.

Also Marin the Fox is in Shudderwock decks too

Tog is no longer T1 in Wild, sadly. Most combo Druids are Maly now, because it has more game against aggro and is WAY less easy to hate out. It's better against Big Priest though, which is fairly common.

It's actually kinda annoying. I need around 35 more Druid wins for Gold but the Wild meta at rank 5-10 is annoyingly hostile to Druid atm. It's basically Even Shaman vs Big Priest, and it creates this kind of rock-paper-scizzors meta because decks that beat Even Shaman lose to Big Priest, and vice verca. Both matchups are super frustrating, too. You'd think that Shaman would be mostly fine but in my experience the match is mainly decided by if you have Plague and if they have Devolve. It's basically killed my desire to rank up. I guess I could go farm standard where I got reset to rank 25 but I'd feel like an enormous asshole.

Sorry for the tangent, but on the subject of meme decks, one I find hilarious is the Marin the Fox + Dead Man's Hand warrior that eventually wins by shuffling Marins and filling up their board with Treasures.

Yep. I loved Jade Rogue. I was strangely obsessed with it. Screw those shamans and especially druids that made jade so hated in everyone's minds, but I loved my JR.

But since it phased out, well, there were some neat ideas of decks, I guess, but I just don't like the decks I'm playing against enough to bother.

Is it just me, or does anyone else occasionally craft a legendary and then just... not use it? I crafted Geddon yesterday even though I have no real intention of using him in a deck at the moment.

I'm just sitting on so much dust after Witchwood didn't really have anything in it that excited me, and hoarding dust seems pointless once you reach a certain point. I've still got about 12,000 and I seriously doubt there's going to be more than 7-8 legendaries I want from the Dr.7 set. Thinking about crafting Maly too, it'll be my third time having the card.

I only craft something if I plan on using it immediately. Why craft Baron Geddon to not use when you'll be getting a Classic pack every week amd have the chance of opening him?

When I open my collection and see 12 000 dust I always get excited because I feel like I have the ability to play anything I want.

I crafted Elise, and then proceeded to not play her.

When the expansion came out, I was convinced I would be playing some kind of Hagatha deck and crafted that, and then haven't used her.

But usually I'm pretty frugal with my dust.

I save dust to craft specific decks. I have a bad habit of getting impatient and dusting things I could potentially slot in to other decks though, and then when I feel like making a new deck I realize I'll have to make those cards again.

Oh, and I have a pretty good argument that skill is definitely a factor in Hearthstone. Earlier had a match against Heal Zoo. Figured 'Oh, I'll just hit face' when I'm 2 health from lethal and figure they can't possibly get lethal the next turn. While I had 4 mana and a Divine Favor. Where I then drew a Blessing of Might and then die to a magical combination of cards the next turn. I'm fucking stupid and that's my argument.

Cornered Sentry should add three instances of 1/1 beasts to the pool. Kind of like how DK Guldan summons back all of the Voidwalkers from a dead Voiddaddy instead of just one because it knows multiple copies died, Witching Hour knows multiple dinos died and takes that into account.

It's Hearthstone though, so things don't always work the same.

Im like 95% sure it works like priest resurrect does. Ive played a LOT of taunt druid games on both sides and it feels like 50/50 if you put multiple copies of the same beast. I had a shaman play four Hex with Hagatha and I still got Hadronox.

I totally forgot about the interaction too. I haven't played Quest Warrior in awhile, and was treating it like a regular game until 3/4 through when it hit me and I thought "oh, this game is over". Literally the next turn I get hit with the Witching Hour into Cube and instantly concede.

Resurrect definitely takes multiple copies into account, so if Witching Hour works the same it would be 1/4 and 1/7 after the dinos die.

I'm not talking about Spellstone, but the actual spell Resurrect. Spellstone never gives you duplicate results.

Except maybe... I'm not sure if this works with tokens that have different varieties, though. Is it possible to rez two Devilsaurs with Spellstone if you got one from a Devilsaur Egg and the other from Tinkmaster, since they're unique Devilsaurs in the game with differing art? There's been multiple different Chicken tokens as well, maybe you can get more than one of them. I think Hearthstone treats them as entirely different cards so they should be able to occupy multiple instances in Spellstone. Would be something to test at least. Think I'll try it out right now, actually.

If you gave me the card descriptions and told me to write the code, it would definitely be that if the exact same minion/card died multiple times, it would be that much more likely each time.

But it's hearthstone so /shrug

havent been in here for a while so i popped in to see if there's any boomsday discussion

every fifth post is *still* Ulti ranting about how skill is not a part of hearthstone. damn. that honestly makes me feel sad.

anyways the point is that resurrect definitely pulls multiple copies. If you keep resurrecting the same minion over and over and it keeps dying it will take over your rez pool and become pretty much the only thing you are likely to resurrect, and will show up in Eternal Servitude as one of your options almost guaranteed. These means spellstone can resurrect 4 Velen's, and that Witching Hour is way more likely to resurrect one of the three raptors than it is the one beast they needed.

Also of note Tess Greymane's Scavenge ability in Monster Hunt works the same way. It's basically Eternal Servitude for spells. If you keep scavenging the same spell it's more likely to show up in Scavenge, until you get to the point where one of your options is always gonna be that spell. I always end up with something like Jade Shuriken or Greater Emerald Spellstone taking over my pool.

All I know is that the Shaman Legendary is good, The Rogue Spell looks like a finisher for an aggro rogue deck that gives it a crazy top deck (because they don't care about fatigue)

Mage Legendary seems... ok? One interesting thing depends on the route Mage goes, if it's cheap spell generations a Miracle Mage could be a cool deck but what's the point when Aluneth does the same thing

Because the difference is numerous of those tokens died so it dilutes the pool

It's like how N'Zoth and Hadronox give you a random assortment of taunts or deathrattles, except you only get one indefinitely back

also if it's not a skill game you are more than welcome to, you know, stop playing
