There is no public transport where I live. The nearest bus stop is like 25-30 miles away from my house, and it's in Albany GA, which is consistently ranked in the top 10 worst cities in America, and the buses there are crappy, scary, and filled with crackheads

So I have really never rode on any kind of public transport, other than the school bus, or a quick shuttle bus on a college tour. On the school bus I would sleep in the mornings and play on my tablet/phone/3DS in the afternoon.

Discounting taking the school bus as a kid, i can count the number of times I've taken public transport on one hand.

I work in public transport. People like to pee on the buses. Also, I can ride for free, but I don't... If I take any kind of public transport, I am with somebody, so it really depends...

Nap, use a handheld gaming system, or talk to other commuters/passengers. Very rarely ride mass transit. Took the train a few times instead of driving to work -- didn't really save any money (in fact, it *might* have been more expensive) and it entailed an extra walk to the office. Then when I was in college I'd occasionally grab a bus.

I used to work with a real-life Flanders. Guy was in like his late 40s or early 50s yet he looked maybe 30 (then again, his department looked their ages or worse so, by comparison, he was better off). He was a nerdy guy, but also an outdoors enthusiast so I'd talk to him a lot if we happened to both be taking the train that day.

There are a lot of coworkers I wish I had kept up with over the years. However, once you're working at different places, things kinda just drift apart since it's less convenient to hang out after work.

I almost never use public transportation because of severe motion sickness, unreliable public transportation system, and lack of routes and time. If I have to take public transportation, I can only stare out the window or nap. Otherwise, I'll get motion sickness.

Either on my phone or watching / playing something on handheld

I drive 99.9% of the time, but when I used to take the train into NYC, I'd either read a book if I was alone, or just talk to the person I was with if I was traveling with multiple people.

I feel like some people may only be thinking of buses possibly... Do you mean like buses and trains, like the metro system? And stuff. Personally, I'm not a big fan of public transport. But I will say the metro is great ssometimes. Like when I went to a convention with my cousin. He was able to park at his job, which was like right next to the metro. And then we walked there to ride the metrorail to the convention center. Saves time on looking for a non-existent parking space...
