Alright just finished up the season

Mumen Rider is indisputably the best character, nobody can tell me different. Silverfang is up there too.

Mumen Rider is the real hero.

Mumen Rider is pretty great. Hes like one of the only heroes who actually cares about the real spirit of being a true hero.

Tornado #1 and it's not even close tbqh

The show did get better when Rider showed up though.

Well personally I like her because she killed a dinosaur with a goddamn meteor. Obnoxious characters can be great too though, and she's an example of one done right.

Like it's fine having a character that's boastful and looks down on others, thinking they're the most powerful thing because they can actually back it up.....but if there's nothing else to the character, doesn't rub off on me well. If it was more a Bakugo situation where he actually respects his peers around him even while being an asshole, sure. But she doesn't seem to like anyone.

Her design is great and she's super arrogant and gets some funny lines and has Aoi Yuuki voicing her. All those combine to make her pretty excellent! I'm not a big fan of either Saitama or Genos, personally. Lazy badass is an archetype I'm not fond of in general (even if Saitama mostly has a good reason for it and uses it for comedy), and Genos just has way too many bad things happen to him. And yeah, I know OPM's a comedy, but I think it's better when it's being more serious too.

If I'm honest, Tornado being my favorite is more of a case of no other character really standing out to me. Like, Saitama is fun but I don't really care about him as a character. Tornado being a fun archetype and having the most awesome moment in the show pushes her over the top.

I've been keeping a top 100 anime character list just for fun as I watch through things and no one from OPM was ever close to being on it.

OHHHHHHH I just saw who Blizzard is, she was in this season! But for like 2 seconds and for those 2 seconds I was super interested in her design. Wow that's Tornado's sister? Boy howdy is she more appealing to me than Tornado already.

Since its ending in 10 chapters youd think they would announce theyre redoing the anime so it isnt bad

eh that's my prediction for the announcement given all that's happened up to this point

I don't think they can really fix the current anime since the pacing is so slow that they've probably covered around 25 chapters of 175 so far

It has no cute blonde girls. The core setups borrows heavily from prison movies like Escape From Alcatraz and from there it shifts into other scenarios, while keeping the tension going.

That said, I was on this day 1 because of the art and the first 3 chapters were interesting enough for me.

By the end of the first arc I had this above MHA on my most anticipated manga chapter of the week. The last manga to grip me like this, was Shokugeki no Soma. So yeah, give this a shot because it's a good one.

I've been watching Konosuba lately and I've now finished both seasons. I though it was fine for the most part, but the style of mean-spirited humor it used has never been my favorite. I'm also starting to suspect that I'm not a huge fan of parodies like this in general. It felt like things that could have been interesting developments were instead sacrificed in favor of jokes. Ah well, I'm still glad that I watched it but in terms of isekai anime that I've seen I have to rank this last.

The second season kinda wore on me with the mean jokes. Especially Megumin. She was great in the first season but somehow turned into one of those characters that take jabs at Kazuma that are funny but kinda not warranted.

I did finish the first season a week ago but I don't remember posting about it at all. It was a bit better than the second season (the Axis cult episodes in S2 were my least favorite by far) but overall my opinion didn't really change between the two seasons.

See, those episodes were by far my favorite in either season! I think those are the episodes that might split opinions the most. Other than one particularly bad episode because of bland directing, I think S2 of Konosuba is easily better than the first.

Mean Megumin is also a plus.

It gets better with the stuff that hasn't been animated, but not by that much.

A hypothetical S3 would be the best one because it would cover vol 5, which is the best volume so far.

I really couldn't get into Konosuba. Went through all of Season 1, but I just couldn't get into it. Not my thing at all.

The first Darkness episode with the mask was the worst, but I really liked the one at her house, and everything with the Dullahan.

Darkness is probably my favorite character if I had to pick. A tank who enjoys being hurt is great.
