Some police are corrupt, and there are certainly issues with racial and other biases and a growing trend of unnecessary force, but that's hardly grounds for calling all American police "horribly corrupt." That's usually reserved for places where organized crime effectively owns the police force and can therefore do whatever they want with impunity. VioletZer0 posted... Engage police in meaningful dialogues about biases, work with them (community de-escalation programs, etc.) to reduce violent crime, vote/campaign for municipal politicians that plan to employ larger-scale programs to make such things happen, and for state/federal politicians that will end the for-profit prison system and war on drugs... Really, the fact that "I can't shoot them if they do something I don't like!" is your first thought here is pretty alarming. There are ample avenues for peacefully effecting change.
