I feel like I've been playing them since I could hold a controller, sort of... I remember playing them very young, but I can't remember what age. I do remember that it was until Ocarina of Time cam eout that I really got into video games, though...

Pretty sure they had an Atari at my daycare, so probably 5. Some adventure game where you walk around and find whatever treasures you can before the time ran out, then this white bird would fly around the screen to try and kill you. Its pretty hazy after 30+ years

i was around 5. might have been 4. it was super mario bros/duck hunt i played duck hunt first, then mario, didn't care for either one.

I was 3. There was a bowling alley in the neighborhood that had a few arcade machines and I would play them sometimes with my older brothers and cousins.

Early '95 at age 4. Family bought a used NES and Genesis with games for each at a garage sale. NES came with Super Mario Bros. (The first game I ever played)/Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros. 2, Contra and Faxanadu. Genesis came with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (My favorite game of all time) and Madden NFL '94. Not a bad way to start off my life as a gamer, eh?

About 3 or 4. It was in my cousin's old house, and I don't even remember what the old house looked like on the inside or the outside. But I remember that NES and Duck Hunt.

Early '98, I believe. Would've been about 4 at the time.

1981, when I was 5. First game played was Pac-Man at a roller skating place in San Diego. I was taking a break from skating, my mom called me over and gave me a quarter - as the saying goes, the rest is history.

I remember we got a NES, with the Duck Hunt / Super Mario combination cartridge, when I was a kid, and that it wasn't brand new. I also remember going round to my friend's to play Street Fighter with him, predating that, and I think I was about six or seven years old then. I've been gaming about as long as I can remember.

No idea. We had a Magnavox Odyssey 2 at my house that was older than me (born in 1980) , so I don't recall a time where I had never played video games.

I don't remember, really? Most people on this board are probably not old enough to really remember, unless they didn't discover games until later in life. I was 5 at the very oldest, but most likely I was younger than 5 when I first started playing video games.

Pretty much since I was born. But 3 when I could hold a controller myself.

My mum always tells me how she would play Zelda and Final Fantasy while pregnant with me though and ifnI was rowdy in her stomach, hearing the music to those games calmed me down.

No idea, but it was before my little brother was born. So somewhere between 0 and 2 years old. I remember when there were only two Mega Man games, but not when there was only one. Im pretty sure my family got an NES the same year I was born.

In 89, I was 5 at the time.

My first game was Mixed-Up Mother Goose. English is not my native language, so getting through that game was hard, since I didn't understand most of anything that was going on. It was mostly trial and error.

The game is about nursery rhymes that got something important missing from them, like Humpty Dumpty missing a ladder. So you had to explore, find the missing item to complete it, and then do that for bunch of times and that was pretty much it.

hard to define an actual starting point as I don't remember when I had a go on a friend's Odyssey, or when I first tried Pong.
My gaming significantly increased in 1982 (while 16 or 17) when I got a cheap computer (Sinclair ZX81) and used that for games

I remember having a snes and playing smw and mortal kombat 2 with family members

Probably somewhere around 5 years old or a little earlier on my big brothers Commodore 64. Man, I had fun on that thing.

4 with Pokemon Red as my first game. Technically Pokemon Stadium but i was only using it to play Red at the time.
