Went to WWE Live tonight, this time featuring the SmackDown roster.

It was actually worse than the Raw show I went to 7 months ago. As a reminder, here was the card from that night:
http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2017/1007/632860/wwe-live-event-results/

I'd like to say the order of the matches isn't quite right on that list, but the matches are all right. I'd also like to correct the note on the Reigns vs. Strowman match - Roman was definitely not over with the whole crowd at any point that night up until the start of the match. Throughout the match, Strowman and Reigns played it to where Reigns was VERY over with the crowd (including myself) by the end.

As for the Smackdown roster's show tonight, it was just underwhelming most of the time. I'll try my best to remember the card.
6 Man Tag: New Day def. The Bar + Shelton Benjamin
The Club (Good Brothers?) def. Sanity by disqualification
Andrade Cien Almas def. Sin Cara
6 Woman Tag: Naomi, Becky Lynch, and Asuka def. The IIconics + Lana
U.S. Championship: Jeff Hardy def. Samoa Joe, The Miz, and Shinsuke Nakamura
Women's Championship: Carmella def. Charlotte
Tag Championship: The Bludgeon Brothers def. English/Rusev and The Usos
Daniel Bryan d. Big Cass

Opening match with the New Day wasn't as good as I thought it'd be, although it was still entertaining. There was still plenty of good humor from New Day and the wrestling was good enough.

Club vs. Sanity was alright, but kinda boring. I'd just seen a tag match right before this, and so continuing to see one of the faces get stuck in the corner of the heels wasn't fresh and lost my interest quickly.

Almas vs. Sin Cara was actually one of the best matches of the night. Almas dominated most of the time, and of course he's just a star. Even when he's just dominating the opponent like a heel does, it's kinda entertaining. But Sin Cara got some offense in upon getting hot at one point, and Hunico pulled off all the lucha spots pretty damn good. Almas won obviously. Sin Cara actually pinned Almas at one point but Vega distracted the ref before the pin started. She's a fantastic heel manager. Almas is the kind of guy you want to be, and you love to hate him. He's got a beautiful woman managing him, he carries himself with class, he's built, he's good in the ring, and he's a douche. Great character.

The 6 Woman Tag match was just a mess. Slow start, Lana still doesn't quite have it in the ring, and they let Becky get beat up for a while until she made the hot tag to Asuka, who closed out the match. It was sloppy in the ring, and I didn't enjoy watching this until Asuka got the tag.

The U.S. Championship match may have been my favorite match of the night, and I think there's plenty of good reasons why it was. Jeff Hardy was my favorite wrestler when I was like 10 years old and he was feuding with Umaga. So seeing him hit the Swanton Bomb on Miz for the win made the kid in me very, very happy. But Joe, Nakamura, and Miz were all good in this match. I'd say Miz was probably the least interesting just because I knew exactly what his antics were from the Raw live show.

Sick of seeing Carmella pin Charlotte in any fashion. She cheated using the ropes as leverage to pin but it's just annoying and I don't believe that Carmella can get one up on Charlotte like that.

The Usos are super talented and Rusev was good like Rusev is, but the tag triple threat was horribly structured. The ref started the match when not every team was in the ring because the Bludgeon Bros refused to step in. Then eventually they joined the fun when it was convenient and people were out of the ring basically the entire match. Oh and the ref acknowledged tags in what seemed like a tornado tag match. So weird.

Bryan obviously got the biggest reaction of the night by far. His match with Cass was alright, but maybe a tad bit slow and the crowd around me was ultra annoying during the whole fight.

So during the Bryan vs. Cass match, these were the annoying people:
- One guy behind me who shouted "WE WANT ENZO" at three different points in the match as if someone was gonna laugh the second or third time when they didn't laugh the first time.
- Another guy behind me who didn't stop being a smark to his buddy until Bryan hit his finisher and won. He was explaining how he thinks Cass has potential, but his mic skills are a little dry, and Vince is gonna push him ultra hard if Cass can stay healthy. He was giving his buddy the rundown of all the insider stuff the whole show and he was loudest during this match. Obviously the things he was saying aren't exactly wrong, but do you have to try and educate your friend during the match? Can't you be any quieter about it if you do decide to talk during the match? It's as if he wasn't even watching and paid for a ticket to sit there and talk.
- Kid behind me shouted "NO!" every time the rest of the crowd wanted to chant yes
- Lady next to me loved to say "So rude!" every time the heel did something heelish. This went on for the first half of the show, but stopped after a certain point only to keep doing it during the Bryan vs. Cass match.
- A bunch of kids at various different areas in the crowd tried to chant for Daniel Bryan practically the whole match, so I was constantly hearing high-pitched off-sync chants that never picked up with the whole crowd.

I definitely would've enjoyed the Bryan vs. Cass match tonight more if it happened in Japan.

I went to Unforgiven 2006 (Cena/Edge TLC), and being in Toronto, the crowd was very pro-Edge despite this being a time where Cena was still loved by everyone.

Being the 12 and 9 year old my brother and I were, we were obviously cheering for Cena, and I can remember my brother yelling "Edge sucks" every 45 seconds for the entire match.

Looking back, I can only imagine how annoying that must have been to everyone around us.

Almas and Vega are awesome, and its great to hear Sin Camacho's (Yes, he is Hunico, but he is Without Camacho!) still shining despite his placement and lack of presence. I still get wowed by his surprising strength in some of the Lucha Dragon matches, and remember doing a few double takes when I read Sin Cara and Konnor/Viktor had like a top 50 match of 2016? 2017? during a house show.

This lawyer is an idiot.

He tried forever to clarify Punk had described his lump as "a golf ball size", "a pimple size", "a baseball size" and "a quarter size". The Judge eventually got pissed off and shut down the questioning. Then Punk's attorney just asked, "Did you ever measure your lump against anything?" And Punk said, "I have never placed a golf ball, baseball, or a quarter on my butt. And then Punk's attorney rested.

But yes, Amann's attorney knows how fucked they are and is trying hard to make it work. His attorney is also an idiot though.

From what I understand, the size of The Lump is barely even relevant anyway, as usually slight exaggeration isnt seen as defamation.

He has a note from Duffy that says he drained a lump on Punks butt and that it was possible staph. Amann never treated the lump, despite plenty of evidence it existed while Punk was in WWE.

Case fucking closed IMO

Somehow this attorney spoke for 90 minutes to try to express how this is clear and makes sense as a number.

So I read up on the summary of the cases.

Amann's attorney brought a quarter, a golf ball, and a baseball to try and say Punk is lying and never had a lump which is absolute insanity. Then he brought out a bunch of tweets from people including Mike Litoris and people saying gay slurs at him.

Then Punk's attorney and Colt's attorney just say it is ridiculous and the only thing that were actually damages were that people on Twitter were shouting at him. Her closing words? "What is your reputation worth to the Mike Litorises of the world?"

And in rebuttal, they said that it wasn't a laughing matter when Amann was googling himself on Thanksgiving and that it was a nightmare and that it's not funny when people say things about you.

I am stunned at how outrageous this is. There is no way Amann wins this.
