Peoples' personalities irl tend to match their internet personas pretty close. You display some classic cases of someone who is abusive and manipulative of their friends, so I have no reason to believe the reality is different. And it makes sense, abusers often believe that they are nicer people by convincing themselves that the "good" way they treat people is undeserved yet they keep doing it.

You constantly put down people who are better than you, you use umbrella statements to put down your 'friends' without directly saying it, you do that thing where you compliment somebody while putting them down to make yourself seem like a better person than you are, and you display a nasty habit of angry tendencies.

None of this is news - you've talked about having issues in your life before and it makes sense that they'd manifest in you, especially on a no-filters place like the web. Your willingness to occasionally be self-aware about these things is why I bother sticking around even when you shit all over my career and colleagues. But to pretend that this is you being an "alpha male" and not just an ass is hiding from the issue.

3-3 with that deck was hilarious.

I'm up to 4-2 right now but neither of us had any right winning the last game. He did Spiteful > Summon Glinda > Arcane Anomaly > Arcane Anomaly > Meteor > Meteor when in dire trouble. Then a few smaller spells to put himself at 40 Armor with a wide board and me at like 14 health but with a taunt on board

I then did Hallucinate > Frost Lich Jaina and won behind an army of elementals

So far, the Tess and Pickpocket have been dead cards in the Rogue deck. I might replace the Pickpocket with a Zola, but removing Tess? What's the point?

The most likely is because they are being triggered by umbra and not by actually dying. This probably moves it up in the order each time.

Hadronox was played earlier and presumably summoned one or more Abominations. We know at least three were in the pool when the Umbra combo dropped. Then those died which adds three more to the pool for when the Hadronox is killed by the Abominations, so that can summon six of them minimum. With each Abomination going off twice, that's a lot of 2-to-alls.

Not sure if I've seen that list in particular, but I've tried Odd Rogue and like it quite a bit.

It does get absolutely murdered in some matchups, though. Like...taunt warrior and taunt druid.

At its core, Baku Rogue is basically like Baku Hunter except with a better hero power. (A hero power that you can use to keep board control, and also one that deals 4 damage to face instead of 3). I kind of thought it might end up more controlling, like "well I keep the board clear for a long time" but it really feels like the deck just ends up doing a lot of face damage without really trying.

I've definitely fallen for that more times than I care to admit, only to be surprised when he comes back just as vitriolic as ever.

But on a more relevant-to-hearthstone note: I was hoping Odd Mage would be a thing, but I don't see any lists that seem worth anything. Toast doesn't even have it listed as a tier 3. It just seems like there should be a combination of cards that makes it viable, but maybe the 2 damage ping just isn't as meaningful as I'd like it to be, or the even cards you'd need to cut are just too important. But you get to keep Jaina and all the secrets and a bunch of other powerful cards. I'm going to have to try it out.

I agree, however my experience trying Baku decks is that hitting the button just costs you too much tempo. The 2 damage ping is effectively like playing hunter and hitting Steady Shot. Granted, you can pick off a minion with the mage power, but it's still usually more effective to play a minion than to hit something for 2. The tactical benefit of the mage power is that -- usually past turn 4 -- you can use it to complete the math on unfortunate trades so they work out. But aggressive mage decks need to be getting chip damage in early, which odd mage is terrible at because it can't follow up with any of the traditional burn cards, and control decks usually need all of their tools available to them in the late game. It's possible control might work and I'm just going about it wrong, but the tempo-oriented mage decks are lacking on the back end of the equation and Cinder Storm does not cut it for making up the difference.
