It doesn't matter if the time limit on a turn is 75 seconds, 20 seconds, or 9,001 seconds. Allowing you to keep going as long as you're doing things is a good idea.


It's not about having more time. It's about the fact that some turns have a lot more actions than others, thus certain decks are punished simply by being designed in such a way that their turns are more involved.

It's like I was saying earlier...sometimes you think it through and then you commit, but because of card animations you just can't finish it in time. It's really stupid that you can be completely locked into your turn but simply run out of time to actually perform it because the animations take forever.

Like a common one for me is when I'm deciding whether to play Deathstalker Rexxar that turn or wait. Once you play him, it's like 5 seconds before you can play the Build-A-Beast hero power. Even longer if the opponent has a lot of minions on board.

No matter what you set the turn time limit to, this problem still exists. You'll have situations where people have committed to their actions but simply can't complete them before the turn is over.

Like imagine the MtG situation you described. If you implemented a time limit on turns...let's say the guy is sitting there contemplating it for a while. If his obvious play that you think shouldn't take him any time to play out involves playing 3 cards...are you going to be staring at a stopwatch and interrupt him after he's like "Alright, alright, here's what I'm gonna do..." and he's played 2 of the 3 cards, and you're just like "NOPE! TIME'S UP LOSER, SHOULD HAVE GONE FASTER. NO THIRD CARD FOR YOU."?

If you're actively playing the game, your time shouldn't expire.

Anyway, made it to Shivers again on my next Tracker run. Absolutely curbstomped by him drawing a 1-mana, 10-attack lifesteal weapon every turn starting on turn 4-5. This sure is fun. >_>

I think the issue is less about a turn timer and more about animation speeds and the time it takes to play cards, which I agree is an issue.

Again, though, it'd be tough to do anything that doesn't also create an opportunity for abuse.

right. again, the number of seconds per turn is a totally separate conversation which doesn't affect the issue.

they'd probably have to implement some sort of rule where you can't play the same card 10 times in a row or something silly like that.

to be fair, that post was made in the early days of cubelock, when no one was good at it, everyone was playing 0-mana 5/5's on turn 3, and none of that mattered anyways because Priest was just better.

9 runs for 4 victories seems pretty decent. I'll give the final battle a shot tonight after work.


First try success on final battle. It was really touch and go for most of it. I took The first almagamation out with a brawl. The 2nd almagamation was given Windfury and then she made a copy of it. I only survived by using tracker hero power every turn to get a blizzard to keep them locked down for 5+ turns while i dug for more removal.

It was a lot of fun though. These are the 4 perks i took.

1) heal allied minions + self for 2 hp every turn (this was one of my favorite perks across all classes and was an easy take)
2) minions cost 1 less to play (it wasn't against anything great and my hand to that point was mostly minions)
3) minions get +2 hp (this was my first time taking this one in all my runs. Im not sure how influential it was but it set up a few trades and has good synergy with the every-turn-heals)
4) you can use your hero power twice a turn and it costs 1 less. (standard amazing tracker perk).

I do wonder if you get your heroes in random order though. I benefited a lot from tracker being my 8cost and getting that perk

Now i need to go back and finish all my dungeon runs in kobolds.

Well no, anyone with a basic understanding of coding would know that the change wouldn't take more than... 10 seconds, if the game is programmed in any reasonable manner.

Presumably, each card is tagged with the card type, tribe, and set. Already, Rexxar's pool should be drawing beasts from standard sets. Adding KaC and WW to that list shouldn't take more than a line of coding a piece... if programmed to be absolutely random.

Its hilarious to see time and time again people posting about things they actually just dont know about. If its so fucking easy, learn to code and go work for Blizzard and improve their quality by 500%.

Oh wait, it wont happen because you guys have no idea how to code and talk mad shit like you do. I certainly dont but I know if it really would have taken ten seconds they would have done it.

Of course your retort is just well lul the game isnt programmed reasokably, so go ahead and submit your resume to Blizzard. HS game director spot is open.

I'm guessing you never faced an opponent who was bloodlusting a board of 6-7 minions on turn 5, and you having nothing but a single FoK to respond.

Apparently, if you win the against the seventh boss after you use a DK, you get the final boss for the DK class and not your starting class. That seems to be why people are getting Gobbles, if you finish with a class that isn't represented by one of the four characters the game doesn't seem to know what to do.

I beat shivers my first try because of Tess insane weapon card + lifesteal + poison.

I think shes likely the easiest, but people have said cannon man is easy and he seems tough to me. Same with dog boy.

I mean it's still a bug, just not as severe. The rank is technically accurate, but it's more of a user experience thing where it's not made clear to the player what exactly went down.
