Of those, I would choose Dreamcast which I still have btw (And my original phantasy star online).

I have my jaguar as well, and Alien Vs Predator, but it was like the only game worth it on that system. Still the best version of that game released in my opinion, but not worth it for one game.

Rest are meh. Sega Saturn had some decent RPGs if I remember right but I could live without them. Don't even remember what was on the 3do honestly, and intellivision was good for it's time, but I would be bored super fast now. Pitfall was a great game for instance, when it released, but now? Yeah not so much.

This, I feel dreamcast should have been left out. It is far and away the best console compared to these others. Dreamcast was a great system and was doing well but Sega already buttfucked themselves with rushing consoles out too fast. They were finished even if the dreamcast started selling better then the ps2. They were in too much debt and it was too little to late.

I wish that I'd been older when the Saturn came out so I could've appreciated it more. I had no income and was all about Nintendo, so I never played one until it was already dead. I missed out on some serious gems and it'd be a cool thing to still own today if I'd had a collection worth keeping.

I regret selling my DC collection. I had every good/rare game except Skies of Arcadia, for some reason, and I sold it all to a guy I know before I moved for less than it was worth.

The Saturn launched in the US in 1995 at $400. While more expensive than the competition (the PlayStation launched in the same year at $300 and N64 the next year at $200), I wouldn't call that "ridiculously expensive". We're not talking in the realm of the Neo Geo AES at $650 compared to the SNES ($200), Genesis ($190), and TG-16 ($200) levels; or the 3DO at $700. And rather quickly, they had dropped the price significantly. I bought my Saturn in mid-1997 for $150. To somewhat offset the lower price of the PlayStation, the Saturn has internal memory, so you didn't have to buy a Memory Card basically along with the system.

3DO really only failed because of the price and lack of good 1st party exclusives. In theory it was a really good console, they even allowed 3rd parties to license the specs and build their own versions. However, expecting people to pay anywhere from $500 - $700 for a console in 93, especially if it has no brand recognition, is a blueprint for disaster.

I'll admit that Sega has a shit ton of great games, but their consoles were always crap in my eyes, Saturn and Dreamcast very much included.

How is Genesis crap? The Dreamcast was only "bad" because they were idiots and didn't include any copy protection.

The controller's buttons are very stiff and don't have a lot of give to them. They also tend to have faulty power adapters on the model 1 (it got fixed with the model 2).

My biggest problem with the Dreamcast has nothing to do with copy protection (a lot of cd based consoles didn't have copy protection), it has to do with the controllers. They feel very cheap with the hard plastic with no give, and the groves in the buttons cut into your fingers. Not to mention the cord comes from the front of the controller not the back meaning you have to awkwardly wrap it around and clip it to the back, shortening the already short cords even more. Also, the VMU's have this VERY annoying beeping sound when the batteries are dying in them.

Probably my favorite Sega console is the Master System, but even that has a set of problems. Just less then the other Sega consoles.

The controllers were fine and it really doesn't matter since the Genesis had strong games on it.
