Yeah, was just coming to say this. He did a drop and add, but it was invalid because he dropped a double for a regular support. He finished with one unused double.

Alas, poor Smurfs (Gameboy). Like Dustforce at the Reverse Ranking topic, you were the game that came out of nowhere and surprised me with how much I enjoyed the soundtrack.

...on the plus side, Cider Time snuck in at the last possible minute and I would have sacrificed all of my nominations to get it in, so I'm still content.

okay, bracket members are under a new tab in the spreadsheet. I'll get to work on the actual pairings. It'll take a few days.

In the meanwhile, I want feedback on what just happened here, because goddamn that was intense...and probably a bit excessive. At the very least I'm going to reserve the right next year to pull the plug prematurely, but if anyone has any better ideas for how to approach things so we don't all have collective coronaries together, I'd like to hear it.

Oh, and somebody get some stuff together for a snubs bracket. K thx.

Seriously though, I genuinely enjoyed it and it rekindled my enjoyment for VGMC. Starting around... Saturday? I started getting really demoralized, demotivated, and depressed about how things were going and it was starting to seep into my posts/comments. But those final 2-3 hours was amazing.

Nice, that means I got at least one nom in!
I had tried to get that and Light Pollution in for years, and I guess all I needed to do to bring more awareness was to participate in a random VGM project!

If you want to stifle last minute shuffling, one option is to prevent people from dropping noms after a certain point. So like during the final 6 hours of nominations or something you can only add noms but can't drop them.

I'm also not sure that it's a problem, but that's what's coming to mind right now.

Anyway, since I'm all talkative now~

Just some thoughts on how some of my failed nominations went:

fake me getting no support killed me inside. i remember the days when we all lined up to nominate itou kanako songs. Same for Desire Blue Sky, can't tell if that stung more or less though.

CAPACITY was a pet nomination. I really, really like it but figured no one would care. and i was right. =(

Really surprised that Stella -Part 3- and Incoming! (Xenoblade 2) had no takers. A little less surprised about Tantal (Night) but still kinda surprised.

At least I'm glad that the Charge Cycles song got in. I stumbled onto that randomly in the first topic and liked it a lot (the other song too, but I liked this one better). Tried playing the game too because the music hooked me. I gave it the first support after it was 1/1 so it was nice seeing that other people also supported it.

Nah, I feel like that would instigate people to make trades or discuss things to do beforehand, and even ignoring that, I feel like it'd be really quiet for a while as people wait for each other to blink with 10 empty nomination slots followed by a chaotic mass of semi-random supporting
