Bounty Hunters was my 22nd contest. I can't say I was pleased with it. In addition to having the lowest participation and the lowest finals voting, at least since the inception of these contests many years ago, there were just some general ho-hum moments. As the host I don't want to disparage someone's win in my own contest, but this victory always felt inevitable and it made for a very unhappy contest in my mind. It was tiresome and without much interest at all, all of which pretty much contributed to the lack of participation. That aspect of it is of course what's always bothering to me the most. Those of you that have played KotM over the last 7 years I've ran it probably aren't surprised to read something like this at the end of one of my contests. I won't say this is the end of anything or make a big deal of it; I just wish there were more interest I guess. These are meant to be fun. When they cease to be and instead become a chore, I get pretty bothered by it. Not much to do but put this behind us and continue on to the next chapter.

Letting us de-nom things again would probably be beneficial. I think I nommed bounty hunters for who knows why and wanted to de-nom it before it came up, but wasn't able to. I might be remembering the wrong category, though.

yeah, Samus winning was pretty predictable, but overall it was a solid enough contest. Only issue for me was that the subject matter wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other KotM's, so once my select few favorites starting bowing out one by one around the 30-40 mark, there wasn't a whole lot left for me. I think this is the first KotM where I only had one character I could really call myself a big fan of in the top 10

I mean it ended up being an ok theme, winner was boring but its rare for a KOTM winner to not be boring

My main critiques are late rounds which make them almost entirely decided by cyan and whoever else is up all night, more consistent updates (I dont often save past my initial group unless I know what I like is safe already) and less breaks in between rounds (some rounds started a week apart) I cant really blame you because its possible you are simply busy but if you are wondering why theres less participation in this, those are areas to address

I personally thought Boba Fett could win, given how this was timed with a new Star Wars movie. That became evident as a long shot once the contest was underway though. My final 3 prediction was Boba/Samus/Spike in some order, and that was pretty accurate.

I like Star Wars a lot, have fond memories of watching the original trilogy in my 18 inch box in my room for the first time, I think I watched one a night right after starting a New Hope

Kind of both, ideally. It should be important to the character, as I like all KotM entrants to be for the category. Like, displays of drunkenness or seeing the effects of said intoxication would go a long way in helping the character's cause.
