I think there's a very small number of people on board 8 who I'd say that I really like. dante is among them, but among that group he's probably the only person who I haven't actually had very many personal one-on-one conversations with through any kind of messenger app. maybe none? It takes absolutely no effort to come in and post sporadic things the way I do, and kinda keep yourself involved flying off past glory - but its also very static. I mean, back when I was 15-19 or so I would literally spend hours and hours a day on the board, not even multitasking - just solely on board 8/AIM with board 8ers. Once I got into the major courses in university though, I had to dial it down... and I've never been able to pick it back up. I dunno, I think despite my best efforts to stay connected I'm completely disconnected from the place I used to love. I still have fun hanging around, but I never really feel like I have anything to add to discussions anymore (unless we want to talk about nuclear power plant structures!!). One thing I've always found amusing is the best polar opposite opinions of me depending on when a user joined the board - anything after like 2010 or so thinks I'm a super annoying loser, and honestly they're right to think so. The other lifers among us remember that theres a real person inside me, who's just too lazy to come out anymore.
