Unsure how much of this has to do with all of the calls for the DNC to stop taking corporate money vs general reputation hits from the campaign or whatever else, but unilaterally disarming would really not be good for the Dems chances of remaking majorities. Really hope this gap gets better.

The worst part of it is that some of it is going into the trump family basket. I for one am glad that he's showing proper respect to those men and women who put their lives on the line for him and his family.

Imagine if Obama had done anything of the sort. Conservatives would all be freaking out. But it's ok when trump does it, since he's white and has an R next to his name.
