I really want a Boston fan to explain their rotation, not because I'm doubting it but because I'm super curious

Well, I'm suspect that one of Smart/Bradley/Crowder needs to be traded to make the cap space official for this.

I think we're shallow at the 4/5. Horford can play either, and I guess Yabusele is supposed to be the 5? Hayward/Crowder are gonna see a lot of time at the small-ball 4.

If no one leaves, then I'm guessing the starting lineup is Thomas-Bradley-Hayward-Crowder-Horford, with Yabusele playing backup 4/5, Smart playing the backup 1/2, and Jayson/Jaylen absorbing the 2-3-4 minutes.

We'd be hilariously undersized...

But yeah I'm curious myself. I'm hoping Danny isn't done. Would have loved to get Paul George for future picks + maybe Bradley/Smart/Crowder.

I fully expect that Crowder will get traded for cap relief and a cheap, veteran big, for one. They might look to sign or trade for an experienced shooter, too, if one is available.

The Celtics don't exactly run with a traditional shooting guard, and all 3 of the players who played the 5 are gone (Zeller was waived, Olynyk's RFA rights were renounced, and Amir Johnson went to Philly). My expectation is that outside of the traditional 2-2-1, you'll see them play 2 guards, 3 forwards a good amount. Maybe some 1 guard, 3 forwards, and a center sets. Horford tends to play better as the 4, because he doesn't have to rim protect as much. I think you'll probably see Smart play off-ball more, especially if he gets any consistency in his shot.

It's hard to know how all this will shake out though, until the roster is more settled.

I think they're nuts if they play that big? they have a lot of wings and should get them on the floor more often. Tatum looks good and he'd have a hard time finding minutes there. ideally they would play Horford at the 5 but you'd know the success of that better than me.
