Didn't it already get like a $700 bluray boxset a while ago?

As shocking as it is, it turns out I watched 2 episodes of anime today, and I might even be watching another one!

It was March Comes in Like a Lion, for the record, and it was pretty good. Not sure how I feel about Akiyuki Shinbou here though. Probably it's mostly a good thing, but there have been times when his directing quirks have been a bit jarring in this case. Oh well, not a big deal either way.

Finally started new stuff. Watched 3 shows.

Kakegurui
-Seems alright. Nothing unexpected though. If they are not going to go for like the comedy a show such as NGNL had and wants to do something more edgy and serious I think they'll need to work on it a little.

Fate/Apocrypha
-In all honesty I think this is one of the weaker first episodes of a fate series I've seen. That said, I dont really like the fate series and even the ones that had great first episodes (like UBW) ended up being meh. So maybe this is the one.

Knight's & Magic
Thought this was pretty good. Probably a basic mecha with some magic stuff too. Not a lot of surprises but well executed.

At the end she jokes that she's gonna tell her boyfriend, and she's been presented as jealous enough that it's not guaranteed she would never do so.

It's a moot point though because the show isn't what I expected so I'm not really interested in continuing. The NTR concept as a whole is by definition malicious in nature so I guess I played myself with this one.

It definitely wasn't "fun <3", bit of a creepy take away.

I still gotta see Titan S2. Haven't really been in the mood to do much of anything lately though

Watched Eromanga Sensei. This gets bashed a bunch for some reason, so I was surprised to find that it was actually quite enjoyable. MC is probably a bit less of a cypher than usual. Elf is awesome and it's great whenever she's on screen. Sagiri is incredibly cute. The other girls are not so great, though at least Megumi has some hilarious scenes. I appreciated the fast pacing too. Felt like lots happened throughout the season, though the thing we all wanted to happen most didn't... Also it was kinda weird how ep 11 felt like the ending to the series, and then ep 12 was like a bonus OVA-style episode without a real conclusive ending. Still great though.

March Comes in Like a Lion episode 10

Ok jesus this is low-key one of the most fucked up anime I can remember watching. The things this kid has had to put up with are really shitty, for lack of a better way to put it.

Also, there's a part of me that's wondering if Rei and Kyouko are going to end up a couple when all is said and done. I don't think I'd bet on that outcome, but there's enough stuff here that could be taken as foreshadowing, and I think it would be a pretty neat idea.

Really compelling show so far though. Honestly my only complaint as of now is "why do the animals have to talk"?

Watched some more stuff from the current season.

Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu
So this is a spin off of some sort of like fujoshi show or something that I saw a couple of episodes back when and was like "this sucks." This sucked like... too but for a different reason. It's like we're in episode 8 or something out of 24. I don't know I like understood what was happening because they tell us what was happening but nothing about it was interesting. Like there are shows that can jump right in but this just failed at it.

Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun
I don't like sports show unless it has something special to it. This one has something incredibly dumb to it. The guy is basically levi playing soccer. Only he only takes like the cleaning part of levi.

Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou
Thought this was pretty good, although it might be because I watched it between a lot of bad shows. Might not be the most original thing but I think a guy living in whats basically a haunted house can go places.

Battle Girl High School
I was hoping this would at least be good for fan service. It doesn't even have that going for it. I dont even know whats going on.

Koi to Uso
Really enjoyed this. Normally I complain about the like timing of the stuff they had in the first episode but I dont think thats really the focus of it right now and they had to do all that for set up in the first place. Probably one of the shows to keep an eye on.

I thought this was really funny. It's too bad its a half length show.

Watched a couple more new shows.

Centaur's Life was good as I hoped. Animation nails it, which I think is important for a show with a centaur protagonist, and the characters were solid too. I liked the slightly sinister nature of the world too, like how the girl was afraid she'd get sent to a labor camp for discrimination.

New Game!! kinda a meh episode to start. The first joke actually surprised me and was pretty good considering what usually happens in S2s of shows like this. Kou's panties were also great and got a solid amount of screentime, though they could've used more. Wasn't too impressed with the episode otherwise though? Potential for new roles is cool at least, and Nene was shoehorned into the episode in the best possible fashion.

Ep 2 of Apocrypha was awesome. Ep 1 was basically all setup and it was good at that, but this was just better. Frankenstein so moe it hurts, and Mordred is badass as heck. Chuuni? Shakespeare also amazing.
