So I'm washing my hands in the bathroom and this dude comes in, goes in the stall, says "excuse me but is there some reason we can't flush the toilet"

I think it is just the idea of leaving behind your mess for someone else to clean up regardless of how small of a mess it maybe or how easy it will be to clean up. It wouldn't bother me to see someone's waste product as its very well possible they forgot or the toilet has a weak flush but I can't assume everyone won't be bothered by it.

I flush twice when I use a toilet. Not to be polite and flush my waste, but to spite water conservation efforts.

#_# I do not touch anything on a public toilet, those things are disgusting.

I even make sure to turn the knobs on paper towels till like 20 pf them are avaible, then use one to turn sink on, wash my hamds crazy good, then use a new one turn it off.

If there is no trash can beside door, I throw the paper towels I used to open it on floor.

Only time I flush is if my foot can reach handle reasonably.

He might have been able to tell which toilet you just used, sometimes there are small things most people don't notice that can give away information. For instance the stall door might be still moving, or other more disgusting clues.

At least he didn't come up behind you grab you by your hair and shove your face into the toilet, then flush it to teach you a lesson.

It's one thing not to flush a urinal because those generally drain enough by themselves

But at least think twice before not flushing an actual toilet, especially if you're not properly hydrated and your pee is like bright piss yellow enough to change the color of the entirety of the toilet water.

If it's germs, that's legit. But just either use your foot or grab a piece of toilet paper, flush with that, and toss it down the toilet as it flushes.

Any time you put something into the toilet, water splashes back up. Sitting down that means a chance for it to splash on to you. Maybe less of a concern for men standing to piss but if you don't want to flush a toilet you have urinals
