Would you agree that conservatives get triggered when comedians and people make fun of them?

There is actually one thing that does trigger conservatives..when comedians target conservatives and do parodies of the stupid or controversial things they do or say...Trump seems to be particularly offended when SNL pokes fun at him and his administration and you can tell by his tweets that he is very angry about it...his supporters have to pick up the slack to defend him no matter what.

Something comedians in Russia never do since i'm sure Putin will silence them...and i bet Trump wants to do the exact same somehow..

I wish MADTV was still around because i'm sure they would have had good parodies up their sleeves..

People need to stop using the word "trigger" to describe getting angry when someone insults you. Yeah Trump is thin skinned, but isn't triggered supposed to be a much more serious term than "I'm angry"?

MADTV was actually a lot better than SNL at it. Their songs are still hilariously awesome.

This, pretty much. If everybody gets annoyed by something -- like being insulted -- it stops being unique. Plus insulting is rather direct whereas a trigger is portrayed as an unintentionally offensive act, like a mention of rape in a story or an unexpected death.

Indeed, but the word is one of those that has unfortunately gotten to be popular. So until some other word or phrase comes along to get popular enough to let it fade away, we can expect there to be only a broad and vague working definition for "triggered" for now.

Any time someone says "[Candidate/President/etc] is Hitler," a good response is "So what will you call them when they actually start mass ethnic cleansings and targeted population cullings?"

Alter as necessary when an infamous non-Hitler persona is used in the initial mudslinging.

You can thank liberals for that. They were the original trendsetters for using the word "triggered" to describe people saying things they don't like, triggering their self-diagnosed PTSD.

Deserve is an ambiguous term, as is the term affordable.

Does a heroin addict who contracts HIV from used needles deserve the finest care available? What about the 700 pound man who chooses to eat nothing but McDonald's and Twinkies? Or the 2-pack-a-day chain smoker?

Typically to "deserve" something, either you or a relative has to work for it =p Otherwise it's just an entitlement.

Not in terms of basic human rights though. Do you want a strong nation or a country full of assholes cutting off their noses to spite their faces. There's a huge difference between handing out unlimited methadone, letting junkies coast on welfare and giving somebody otherwise productive needed chemo treatments. The greater good is far more important than the individual, and you can't be all patriotic while spitting on your neighbour at the same time. It's one or the other. The church needs to learn this too.

That's not how rights work. Rights exist as protections from government, not as entitlements provided by society. However, if you're providing free healthcare, it would seem prudent to first provide everybody with free housing, free heat, free electricity, free water, free food, etc. After all, those are more immediate needs and arguably more vital to a person's health than healthcare. Of course, to provide free housing to a society, you'd need to control how and where people live. To provide free water and electricity, you'd have to restrict how much people consume to ensure there's enough to go around.

People in wealthy nations should have their health considered a right as long as they aren't abusing it. You shouldn't have to earn that like you do other things. The amount of waste that goes on can easily afford it with cuts to things that basically only benefit corporations' increasing revenue targets. I'd rather funds be allocated to helping the overall productivity of the nation rather than cut taxes for people who don't need it. It's not like I say this selfishly, my dad is fairly well off and gets robbed by the taxman.

A heavily regulated and transparent eugenics program to thin out the system's bloat would ease many burdens on the tax payers (generations of felons on welfare, for instance, should not be allowed to reproduce indefinitely). Keep in mind, I don't support pure capitalism or democracy for several reasons, so your points of "how would this work within that" aren't going to line up with my views anyways.

Bill Burr does sometimes. Well he doesn't explicitly use the word "liberal" very often, but he's definitely made a lot of jokes mocking liberal values.
