I don't see how everyone getting the Healthcare they deserve is a bad thing. Typically to "deserve" something, either you or a relative has to work for it =p Otherwise it's just an entitlement. Not in terms of basic human rights though. Do you want a strong nation or a country full of assholes cutting off their noses to spite their faces. There's a huge difference between handing out unlimited methadone, letting junkies coast on welfare and giving somebody otherwise productive needed chemo treatments. The greater good is far more important than the individual, and you can't be all patriotic while spitting on your neighbour at the same time. It's one or the other. The church needs to learn this too. That's not how rights work. Rights exist as protections from government, not as entitlements provided by society. However, if you're providing free healthcare, it would seem prudent to first provide everybody with free housing, free heat, free electricity, free water, free food, etc. After all, those are more immediate needs and arguably more vital to a person's health than healthcare. Of course, to provide free housing to a society, you'd need to control how and where people live.
