Do Re Mi - 6 My Favorite Things - 4 Edelweiss - 3 Climb Ev'ry Mountain - 2 So Long, Farewell - 2 The Lonely Goatherd - 2 Sixteen Going On Seventeen - 1 Three songs emerged as frontrunners early on and nothing else ever caught up, Do Re Mi eventually running ahead of the pack. Rules: -Vote for your favorite musical number in said musical. You may base your vote on whatever knowledge of the songs you have, be it the OBCR, film, any production you have seen, etc; thus, you may vote for songs that were not included in the original production (eg songs written for the film, songs cut from the show but included on the OBCR, songs added in revivals, etc). However, you are voting for the song itself, not any specific version of the song, even if different versions of the same song have significant differences. -You may nominate one musical per day. Once a musical is nominated, it does not have to be nominated by anyone else. Each day, everything that has already been nominated will be put into an RNG to determine 5 to go on that day's poll. Once 30 musicals have been nominated, it will increase to 10 poll options per day. (for simplicity's sake, the five that I listed on day 1 don't ever have to be nominated; in exchange I won't nominate until Day 6). -For now, all nominations must be musicals that either originated on stage or have had some sort of stage adaptation. In the future I may allow musical films that have never been adapted for the stage. -No alts blah blah you know the drill Today we are doing Beauty and the Beast, very relevant this year in particular. It tied with Little Shop of Horrors in the poll yesterday; instead of running a tiebreaker I removed my own vote, which was for Little Shop. --- darkx remembers his friend, GrapefruitKing. This is actually one of the tougher ones for me. I'm going to say Be Our Guest just because it's such a huge number and was my favorite as a kid, but Beauty and the Beast and Gaston come extremely close.

To give the Broadway fans of Board 8 something for a while. Even on the small list of noms so far, there are already three with no film adaptations whatsoever, one whose film version isn't a musical, and one whose film version is so obscure that I highly doubt the nominator had it in mind. 2. To prevent the noms from being flooded with every kids movie ever made. BatB is one thing because it became a tremendously popular Broadway musical in its own right, but let's wait a while before we let the nom list become 60% Disney. --- darkx remembers his friend, GrapefruitKing.
