My only complaint was the camera, but I came from a lumia 1020 so.........my viewpoint on phone cameras is a bit skewed

Had an S5, before that an S3. Got the S5 when the S6 was available, didnt want to give up the SD card slot.

Never heard of an avant. My girl has a S7. She broke her s4 and I bought her the new one last year. Me and my measely s5.

Avant was the low to mid version of the s5. I asked her over and over if she wanted a better phone and she said no.

She wasn't happy with it.

Nexus 5. Overdue for an upgrade

Until recently I was still using a Nexus 4. But then the battery decided it wanted to expand and all the replacement options I looked at looked either sketchy or had people experiencing the same symptoms I encountered (although in my case, it was after 4 years of use).

I ended up going with a chinese phone, a lesser known company called ulefone. I paid $150 for what is essentially the latest and greatest phone tech of 2016...the darn thing is an octo-core beast and even has a fingerprint scanner if i wish to use that feature.

I'm still using an LG G3. I've already had to replace the battery once, and the screen seems like it's dying out on me, but I can't justify spending hundreds on a device I primarily use to text and check twitter/instagram.

The plan I'm on is so old and so much cheaper than what my provider currently offers that they won't ever let me upgrade my phone when my contract expires unless I switch my plan, so I can't get any discounts.

Buy out of contract and just switch your sim card over.

Galaxy S6 Edge+

Apparently I chose the shittiest battery life possible to migrate to an Android phone. I had to rush that decision to stay on my family plan, which turned out to be months before the S7 line released. The Edge design was an odd and pointless decision as well that probably contributed to how easily I cracked the screen, albeit fairly minorly.

Still sticking with an Android phone of some sort when I upgrade again.
