Also I just realized I have the exact opposite reads as Corrik. That's interesting.

Anyway looking over the player list I can only recall posts of substance from like half of it, so I am going to post the names that I can't recall anything from and let's kill one of those guys.

Hey, this game actually started.

I caught up, luckily not a whole lot happened.

Some thoughts:

I agree with Lopen earlier: Day 1 sucks, and every successive day gets easier, so a short day is cool with me.

I disagree with Corrik that scum Ulti rolls over. He has before (like last game), but he also has done his "I'm Town I'll replace out before you mislynched me" once <_<


Lastly: Does Ben play Mercs? It seems like something that'd take too much effort for him.

If not, it seems weird that he'd be a flavor as Miller, that seems like a funny safelist claim.

For about 4 days, yes. PJ was a tad overwhelmed by the project I would say.

Admins from M4: Lopen, Luis, Numbers, HGR, meisnewbie (sometimes), drak towards the end (maybe???) and honestly tht's all I remember if there were more they didn't do enough for me to remember.

Yeah Jaded is the only one I had any sort of scum read on of that list because post 205, his response to me asking him to explain why he thought what I said was a contradiction for reasons other than I said it was, really didn't jive with me.

So of that list that would be the only one I'd be amenable to jumping over to at the moment based on evidence.

Speaking of jumping over I'd also like Corrik to explain why he "didn't like my vote on Oddity at all"

Also, VI what is Leo's skill as a player. I feel like I played with him long ago but don't remember him being remarkable or anything.

Leo will always be a top tier player to me.

One of my very first games, we were Masons and I was hella overwhelmed (so I was essentially confirmed town not posting at all), and he basically guided me and I think we ended up winning? I didn't end up surviving to the end, because they wanted Leo dead dead.


Also I can't find the post, but I saw Ulti shit-talking Hawaiian pizza, and I'm pretty upset he wasn't day-vigged on the spot.

defending you in itself is not bad, but a player explaining things for the attacked that they themselves should explain is something I do not like no matter how much the player thinks the attacked is town

I was calling Ulti's attack a reach, and I can't just saying "you're reaching" without backing it up. I never even said I thought Lopen was town, I just said it was a null-tell. I don't know why you all think I was defending Lopen when I was actually attacking Ulti. I do this all the time, either alignment, because people are always trying to catch scumslips that aren't really there.

This same thing happened in Fuck 2016 mafia when scum ScareChan was calling out town VI for a slip that wasn't there and I called him out for reaching.

fwiw I kinda disagree on that. I feel like there was some good evidence on Day 1 of CT...but yeah most of it was at the end, not throughout. Kinda sucks that on one hand, 'logical play' (AKA No Lynching) is obvious but on the other hand agreeing to do it as a default means the scum gets a free pass because they just lurk. No good solution to that besides catching bad scum early and lynching them.

A lot of "mixed feelings", "on one hand", etc.

Now he's taken a somewhat more solid stance with Johnbobb (a really easy target because he's not around), but even then

I went back to double check the early pages to make sure though, and I did see he made two more posts than I thought - both discussing whether him and Lopen had played together before. So that's at least a bit more substantial than I was thinking before. I'm going to sleep now and leaving my vote where it is right now, but I'll mull this over a bit when I wake up.

He's still not fully committed to it, even though Johnbobb's other posts still weren't great. So basically he's been wishy-washy and not really sticking to his guns, and then going after someone who's not even around and still not really holding firm.

Lopen - Leaning town. He has a kind of confidence that doesn't seem scummy. When Ulti called his "slip" he basically brushed it off. He really didn't seemed worried about the early votes which is town points.

Chris - Also leaning town. I don't get all these unexplainable "scum vibes" people mention, because I haven't really seen a good reason for it. Seems kind of fishy! Other than that, I liked his Lopen vote, good conviction.

Corrik - Town. He claimed Cop but still provided a lot of content and didn't coast. He made good points and I feel pretty good about him

VI - Slight scum because I don't like the "scum vibes" thing you mentioned about Chris. I don't know, it just feels kind of cheap and not authentic!

Heading out to the beaches, but i actually like my vote staying on Corrik for now. He seems to be pulling a little too much out of the "town Corrik" pot after last game where he actually was town.

Claiming cop.
Going after a strong player early.
Responding to a lot of posts in a row.

After last game where it was hard to just get him to post, this is off a lot.

Also, it's my experience that scum is more likely to play the cute "I'm scum" post than town.

He's been really quick to "figure out the game" in regards to the scum team and how the flavor works. To me it's always a sign of insider info. Scum always breaks these secrets. I'm guilty of it too. For example the Patriots in Heroes VS Villains mafia - I was the one who "discovered" what was going on. And that was only because I knew beforehand. I think Doom's jump was too fast, from speculation to fact, in regards to scum team flavor. He's convinced enough that he calls me town. Maybe admins being mafia is just SUPER obvious to those who know mercs, but to me it's fishy and I've really only heard Doom talk about it

And as a side note, the people who call me town day 1 ALWAYS end up scum. In the past 4 games it's happened every time :'( So I'd better act on it this time.

Now someone could do that as town too, and I've never played with Doom so I don't know how he acts, but the timing was eyebrow raising to me

You didn't pay close attention, when people brought up Scare's claim they discussed the admin team being scum. Also I am just a quick kind of guy. Also you didn't actually act on it here, which makes me think maybe I shouldn't be so quick to trust you. "Let me act on it!" and then take no action is usually pretty bad.
