Isn't there some quasi-political reason why everyone hates Kotaku these days? Or is it something else? I'm utterly indifferent to them.

I don't particularly care for Kotaku aside from the fact that their articles aren't anywhere near the best written, even going as far as to be more fluff and less value than colorless cotton candy at times. I don't hate them as much as some people around here, but I can and do tire of seeing their links when the same news--sometimes with greater detail--can be found elsewhere.

I don't believe Kingdom Hearts III will ever be released.

I still need to play KH2 but, honestly, after KH1 the story basically starts to look like gibberish. KH1 had the benefit of keeping things pretty straightforward.

It's no longer called "The Scorpio" but instead the Xbone One X. That's not going to confuse mothers around the Christmas holiday season or anything.

Would it kill them to stick to a name that doesn't suck? I guess it makes sense to give it a name which ties into the generation model to avoid casual consumer confusion, though.

tbh, the lack of editorial oversight and standards is one reason why I've never taken them all that seriously.

The Sony conference was meh. Monster Hunter World looked weird and off, but hey, it's Monster Hunter. Shadow of the Colossus looked nice, but it's just a remake, so I'm finding it hard to care about it. Spider-Man looked pretty good, but I'm not a huge fan of its style of combat.

That Detroit game was honestly the only one that looked new and interesting. I love the promise of a dynamic story, but I've no clue about what type of gameplay it has. I really don't want another 3rd person shooter with generic combat.

Everything else, didn't care. Dare I keep my fingers crossed for Nintendo? <_<

I really want to see a game - one game - that I can genuinely get excited for. MH World should've done that, but that grappling hook and camo/stealth and cinematic monster chase looked very un-Monster Hunter, but maybe I'm wrong. Could be great.

What's up with the costume? At any rate, the stealth system seems kinda un-Spidey, although I like the concept after playing Arkham Asylum, etc. Granted, I'm not sure if I'm as fond of the pacing and gimmicks.

Also reminds me that I need to catch up on Spidey games in general.

What's not to love here? It's like Spiderman meets Enter the Matrix.

Although I will never understand how heroes like Spiderman and Deadpool have masks where the eyes emote as they talk...

The masks themselves are probably fairly tight so the material stretches to adjust to facial movements. Plus they might have deliberately designed the masks that way to convey emotion... or it's just a crutch for the comic creators. In general, having no part of the face visible makes it harder to convey emotion.

I'm going to go with crutch for one simple reason. Go stretch some pantyhose over your face and head and spend a few minutes in front of a mirror. Make any silly faces you want and see how well that translates in reflection...

Don't get your hopes up, it's a David Cage game, you're pretty much better off watching an LP.

As for Nintendo, if you're not a Metroid fan it's pretty much meh.

Yeah, I found that out not long after I posted that. All potential excitement immediately killed. I knew something was off when they showed no gameplay whatsoever. Fucking David Cage.

Nintendo's was nice. Nothing too crazy, Metroid Prime 4 being confirmed is huge, but with nothing to show yet, it's hard to get too crazy. Seeing some footage of Xenoblade 2 finally is nice, but most of it was just confirming dates and showing new footage of stuff already know, so meh. Metroid on 3DS, new Yoshi and Kirby are nice though, I really liked Wooly World. Mario XCOM continues to be intriguing. Dynasty Warrior games are trash, so the FE one does nothing for me.

Nintendo usually announces stuff all day, too, so more may come.

Overall though, this E3 was pretty lame.

It's not troubling at all. I want Pokemon to finally experience a huge leap, and this is the best opportunity for that to happen. Imagine something like the Colosseum games, but fleshed-out with the entire roster of pokemon, with added network functionality. Could be really great.

I hated the Colosseum games. Plus they'd never make all of the Pokemon available in the same game like that; or, at least, not until the franchise basically dies.

The games that excited me most from E3:

-Monster Hunter World (looks to be by far the best one yet)
-Spider-Man (costume isn't my least-favorite, but it's not in my top-5 either)
-Skull and Bones (Yoho, fiddle-deedee)
-Metroid 4 and the 2 remake (disappointed we saw no trailer for MP4, and also disappointed that Metroid 2 won't have sprites, but either way it's hard not to get excited with how Nintendo has been treating the series).
-Mario Odyssey (glad to finally have a "real" platformer since the Wii U only got 3D World, which felt like more of a spin-off).
-Beyond Good and Evil 2 (just glad it's not cancelled, but disappointed in the art-style).

If my comparisons are right:

A Realm Reborn: 3 dungeons per patch

Heavensward: 1 new race, 3 new jobs (one for each role), 2 dungeons per patch, $40

Stormblood: 0 new races, 2 new jobs (both dps), 1.5 dungeons per patch on average, much higher budget, dropped PS3 support, $40

Getting that bang for you buck with each new expansion.

Yes, and they're promising more OTHER content on those odd patches. Obviously if they don't deliver then I and so many others won't pay.

Furthermore, compare the QUALITY of those dungeons in HW compared to the ones in ARR. There's maybe one HW duneon I'll consider skipping, especially if I'm on a caster. In ARR I'll gladly skip Thousand Maws, Stone Vigil nm, the second boss alone of Qarn nm, the second stretch of DD if I have a dumbass tank who likes to pull heavy with no regard to those ledges and toads, and Aurum Vale... and that's just the leveling dungeons. I loved half of the lv 50 dungeons, but will sleepwalk through the other half, even putting in earplugs for Keeper of the Lake.

My mom is sick too P.O. She's been in the hospital for about 3 weeks now.

She has high blood pressure, high blood sugar, had a blood clot in her brain, and she had a stroke.

Her short term memory is gone. She didn't remember I had gotten married, or my surgery, and as of today she doesn't remember that I was born in June. She thinks I was born in December like my oldest brother. So noe her long term memory is fading away tpo.

She also thinks I have 2 doggies instead of 2 cats, and that they ran away. She's not long for this world, and I'm going to be stuck in rehab while she quickly fades away.

But how are all of you doing?
