I believe what killed Miz and Swagger's careers was creative going "nah, these guys ain't main eventers" and pushing them down the ladder.

Winning MitB is only the kiss of death if creative MAKES it the kiss of death. If the guys like Ziggler, and he wins MitB, then he'll be fine. Plenty of guys have won MitB and had fine careers.

Despite looking like he would lose the title early in the show to Sheamus, Del Rio fought off the Great White with Ricardo's help to retain the title!

However, in the main event battle royal, John Cena eliminated the long-time champion to become a 2-time Liquor Basket holder. Shortly afterwards, a distracted Cena was eliminated by The Big Show. The Giant looked set to win and keep the basket for himself, but then THAT BIG RED MACHINE KANE managed to eliminate Big Show as well as Dolph Ziggler.

It was down to 2, with Kane defending the basket against Zack Ryder. Despite his previous history with Kane, Zack pulled the upset,, and became the new unified INTERNET AND LIQUOR BASKET CHAMPION!

I would now expect him to customize the basket with the addition of Bud Light Lime but that is merely speculation at this point.

So, here's my idea for the final week of interim GM.

On RAW, it's revealed to be the anon-GM. He books everything favoring people Cole likes, and books Lawler vs Kane, etc. Keeps going on SD. Then, towards the very end of SD, we see a tied up and gagged William Regal break his way out of a locked broom closet or something, revealing that Michael Cole ambushed him and knocked him out and locked him in the closet and was just faking anon-GM all week.

That's an interesting idea, but it's supposed to be similar to the Hardcore Championship, and that would change hands mid-match in matches like this.

If XIII likes the idea, though, I'll go with it. He is the self-proclaimed General Manager of the Liquor Basket, and I'm just the guy who maintains the webpage.

As much as the interim idea makes sense, the principle is that when you beat your opponent you take the Liquor Basket from them. Cena did that by eliminating Del Rio from the match, and thus held the Liquor Basket for that brief period, so he should be champ. That's why standing tall after a beatdown also allows the title to change hands.
