Haruhi really has been a step down after the first 6 episodes when you watch chronologically. At least so far.

Man, Hyouka 12. Who would have known an episode with no mystery could be so awesome. The atmosphere was totally different than normal but the school felt so alive and I laughed pretty hard several times. I could watch Chitanda get distracted by all things for days.

Well the mystery in the OVA was pretty silly. I assume that's not actually in novels and was just written by some hack anime writer. Still, the characters were as good as usual and it confirmed the OTP we've all been thinking of

The designs all around the school in the new Hyouka episode were pretty neat. The episode itself was pretty ok, but the new ED was the best part of the episode.

Link always wins. Only great people like Jay Solano, God, Ctes and Mario can defeat him. Mario just haven't succeded doing it yet.

XFD Jinrui ep2 was so great. It was pretty funny and I really like the main character already.

Jintai 2 - Really funny and much better than ep 1. It's still a little disappointing it's not starting from the beginning but I expect good things from it.

Total Eclipse 2- Already posted about it but just want to stress again ****ING AWESOME. If it stays that good, it'll be one of my favorite shows of this year, if not more. It was that damn good. Also got me to read about 30 minutes of MLE today yikes.

Rinne 1 - Was good and I'm not really sure where it's going.

Joshiraku 1 - Kind of amusing but I feel it would probably be much better if I knew Japanese and knew anything about the culture other than cartoons. Also would be better if it was SHAFT. Man, I hate JC staff most of the time.

Tari Tari 2 - Way better than ep 1, thought it was really sweet. I expect good things here too.

also I would advise everyone to add user Mac Arrowny to both your Gamefaqs ignore list and AIM block list since he's been maliciously spoiling things left and right for me all day.

Understanding the Japanese jokes is nice, but gg's TLs aren't much worse for the most part (it was a bit disappointing that they couldn't make any puns in the gothloli part). It's just got a weird style. Not bad or anything, but SZS and KNK were definitely funnier.

Joshiraku - 4th wall breaking and bullying made this pretty amusing.

Sword Art Online - The villain thing is pretty ridiculous, but this is already way better than Accel World.

Rinne S2 - Oh ya so glad this is back. It's a shame some of the OP/ED animation is the same and neither is as good as OP1's song, but oh well.

Dog Days S2 - Just like the first season only with more characters and literally squirrel people.

Dakara Boku - Was ok I guess. So far none of these harem action shows seem like they'll be as good as DxD.

That's all the number 1s aside from Ebiten beated. I'll rank them in another post.

Probably the fact that she gets up early to play games.

I also like how they've dropped the whole "Kyouko gets better grades than everyone else effortlessly" and now she's just an idiot who sleeps through class.

In non-airing news, just finished Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG and I loved it, maybe even a little more than the first season. The two seasons actually felt pretty different, and I thought that worked out better. The atmosphere was consistently awesome and the direction really makes it clear how much effort was put into the series. Thought 2nd GIG needed more Batou episodes, but oh well, I also enjoyed how nearly every Section 9 member had their own episodes.

oh hm. apparently out of the 100 poems only like 40 or so are actually love poems, so it's really doubtful Uta Koi is going to be 50 eps. if they do 2 an ep and focus on only 1 for some eps like they did this time it will probably end up being a 20~ episode series which isn't too bad.

Anyway, I just watched Time of Eve. It was awesome. Had a really nice atmosphere in the cafe, was pretty heartwarming, and hilarious at times (literally the terminator.) Thought they did a really good job with the characters too, given how short it is. I'll have to watch the movie sometime since it apparently has more material.

Watched the first two eps of Hyouka so far.

High production values make this pretty to look at but typical kyoani they refuse to do anything interesting with their insane production budget.. Oreki is terrible.

Like I never thought I would dislike a male protagonist more than Kyon but dammit if kyoani didnt just up the ante.

I do dig the somewhat subdued feel and chitandas personality but this doesnt seem like anything special yet.

Binbougami 2 - Don't really know what happened here but I thought that was a lot worse than ep 1. It wasn't terrible but I didn't laugh a single time. Hopefully it doesn't stay this way but I'll probably drop it if it does.
