VGMusic of the Day 667: Guilty Gear X (NAOMI Arcade) - Still In The Dark
Evil may finally be conquered, but I have one final track to round out the week, unofficially. Think of it as a "bonus track"... Mostly done because Zato-1 (technically Eddie) just looks so cool, though wicked at the same time. This is probably my favorite song in the entire Guilty Gear franchise. I went with the original arcade version because even though the guitars are totally fake, I like this arrangement of the song better than the Dreamcast version. It's got these nice string sections that really give it a strong feeling of harmony. Also, we haven't had a track from this installment since nearly the very beginning of VGMotD!
So, I need to catch up on music (probably somewhere around 100 songs). Buuuut before I do, I was playing through Muv-Luv and sort of dropped it for a bit because I was fed up with how plain awful it was. Then I looked through my music playlist and found a damn good Alternative track that super uploaded. So I stuck with it.
Thank you, superangel.

Whoa, check out this comment on the most recent video: Alright! It's taken me literally months, but with this video I have *finally* listened through the entire VGMotD archives. My ears are so overflowing with awesome right now you wouldn't believe it. I don't even know where to begin with my long-ass list of favourite songs and OSTs I've discovered%uFEFF through here. Thank you to the uploaders for keeping this channel going, and I'll hear you again tomorrow! :)

Why, I don't know at ALL what that's like...

I'm up to 3 failed uploads for today. Maybe it's just youtube being a jerk. I'm gonna get going with my day and get some stuff done and then try again when I'm back. If I don't have anything up by 10:30-11, someone can feel free to try too, as it may end up being something on my end and not youtube's if there's still issues then.

You're messing with me! You're messing with me, aren't you!? You're making fun of me, aren't you!? Aren't you!? You definitely are! I'll murder you!
Yeah, when uploads were finally working for me, this site suddenly wasn't. It was fantastic!
Anyway, it took a while, but I finally uploaded something from this famous series (despite it not technically being from that series). The song I picked is probably the most popular from the game, but I really enjoyed a lot of music from it, so I may upload more in the future.

Well, at least I have a video ready to go for tomorrow, so no lamenting about what to choose!
When I was going through stuff I though "I bet this is a song Nee would upload" and wouldn't you know it he already uploaded something else from the same series way back when.
WHAT A COINCIDENCE

are we witnessing a possible historic trend that maybe could be causally linked to a general decrease in uploading activity at some point in the future?

azuarc would, too, except azuarc isn't an uploader (except for one day during guest week.) However, Nee's old upload was Romancing SaGa, no? Or is there an actual GameBoy track I missed?
VGMusic of the Day 674: DoDonPachi DaiFukkatsu - That Battle Was Just "To Keep That Future Alive" (Stage 5)
Never played any of the games in this series, but that doesn't hinder my appreciation for the music one bit. This is a very lovely trance-like piece with a sorrowful piano melody and some uplifting, energetic synths. The piano portion itself is actually a variation on a theme from Stage 1, which is also good, though I much prefer this Stage 5 track. I could continue to gush and wax nostalgic for Namiki's music, but I'll save that for another day.
Youtube clearly hated me today. On the plus side, in case you haven't noticed, there's a Steam sale going on, and both Ys games on Steam are discounted, so go grab them if you don't have them yet. Or wait for a even bigger discount, I guess, always possible during a Steam sale.
