Which ending did you get? I saved every Little Sister. It was classy but short; I didn't expect it to cut back to the opening menu so quickly. I suspect not saving them all gives me free reign over the city, but in some negative light somehow (Rapture's a fantastic world, even if it's not necessarily admirable). -- http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/3492/eponaharr.jpg Nominate SuperNiceDog's Guru-choice, then Epona. ... I went into the game understanding there were multiple endings, which didn't bother me. One spoiler I had unfortunately heard long before playing was the "Would you kindly?" mind control, but it was still neat to see it fall into place.
Speaking of Ryan, he and Atlas/Fontaine were great to follow through-out. The antagonist-twist reminded me a bit of Portal 2. -- http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/3492/eponaharr.jpg Nominate SuperNiceDog's Guru-choice, then Epona. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Did you think Sander Cohen was the best part in the game? Probably, yeah -- it's my brother's favorite part as well. Fort Frolic did a lot to play off of Rapture's beauty. A highlight of the game for me was in its frozen chamber. I nailed an up-close-and-personal headshot on the frozen enemy coming to life here with nothing but an anti-personal pistol shot and my reaction-speed; I was almost disappointed at how quickly it ended, but it was definitely worth wrecking his s*** like that. Side-question: how's Bioshock 2? I understand it's worth playing if I played BS for the gameplay-mechanics while it's worth skipping if I played for the atmosphere/world. I'm in the latter camp, though the plasmids/tonics were pretty great.

Bioshock 2 is worth playing, yes. It's obviously not as good as the first one, but I'm in the crowd that Bioshock wasn't as good as System Shock 2.

2 is pretty much the exact same game, but with a worse antagonist/story and you can't backtrack to earlier levels.

I understood that Bioshock 2 picked up from the point where you became a Big Daddy in the original Bioshock, but I don't know if that's such a good point to pick up from or not. My brother suggests its story-line is rather separated from Bioshock 1 in how whoever Bioshock 2's antagonist is was never really mentioned in BS1 and that you explore much more generic places than where BS1 had you see, but the tonics/plasmids still advances from the original too.
I'm somewhat in KingButz's boat about what to play next. I'll probably play Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations just so I can finish that trilogy, but nothing is certain right now. -- http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/3492/eponaharr.jpg Nominate SuperNiceDog's Guru-choice, then Epona. ... The B1 and B2 protagonists are different people. If you liked Bioshock, you should like Bioshock 2. Yes, up until near the end it's definitely not as good, and unlike the first one you can't backtrack, but it stands up well on it's own, and I contend that the final section of Bioshock 2 is better than any part of Bioshock. Yes, including Fort Frolic. The Minerva's Den DLC is also really good. -- Congrats to SuperNiceDog, your 2011 Guru Champion! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Backtracking's not an issue since I never felt compelled to do it in BS after leaving a map, and I'm not much for DLC. Still, I may play it since BS was quality and Bioshock Infinite looks incredible.

BS2 improves a ton in gameplay, but more importantly in pacing. Instead of starting off steadily and peaking at the middle, then going waaaaaay downhill in the final act like BS1, it starts off strong, goes into a dip towards the middle, then shoots back up towards the end. The final section really is awesome, but I don't know if I would call it better than Fort Frolic...
Definitely a game worth playing. ... Copied to Clipboard!
