I play favorites too much and also place too much importance on mic work. If you're talking pure ringwork though I might go along with it. Hard for me to separate guys like that, though. Not to imply Aries is bad on the mic or anything. But I've certainly never heard anything stellar out of the guy. I first saw him in 2009 when ROH got their HDNet TV show and I started following the company at that point, and since then I've seen him put on incredible ROH epics with guys of various sizes and styles, and now in TNA he has adjusted to the X-Division style which is much more compact and flashy and he hasn't lost a step. They said "Hey in this new spot on the card you need to do shorter matches at a higher octane" and before they finished the sentence he dropped multiple awesome matches on their doorstep. He gets over in a smark crowd, and he gets over in a mark crowd. He can play the underdog, he can play cocky heel, and he can play cowardly heel.
