Welcome to the Home Run Survival Challenge! This will work similarly to an NFL Survival/Suicide league, but instead of picking a team to win a game every week, you are picking a player to hit a home run at some point during the week.
Rules: 1. Pick one player for the week. If that player hits a home run during that week, you advance. If he does not, you are eliminated. 2. You may not pick the same player twice during the season. 3. You may not pick a player from the same team in consecutive weeks. 4. The weeks will start on Monday and end on Sunday. 5. Picks for that week must be in by 7 PM ET on Monday. 6. You may not change picks after this deadline. 7. You may pick players in advance if you wish. Also, I plan to put the topic for the following week up on Fridays, so you can get your pick in early even if you are still waiting on the results for the current week. 8. No alts. You only get one shot at this. 9. I will offer a one-time-only pass for injuries. If your pick is healthy at the start of the week, but plays less than two complete games in the week because of a sudden injury and doesn't hit a home run, you will be spared from elimination. You can only receive this free pass once; if it happens again, you will be eliminated. 10. If your pick's game is postponed out of the week (even from Sunday to Monday), you lose it.
**Week 1 will end Sunday, April 15th. You must pick by Monday, April 9th to be entered into the contest. Any games before April 9th will be included in the first week as long as your pick is already in; any games played before your pick will not count (i.e. you can't automatically advance by picking Yoenis Cespedes).
I won't be providing a daily schedule or probable pitchers because that's too much work, but I will post a schedule of the series' for the week. All series' will be 3 games unless noted otherwise. I can also provide league leaders for home runs.
So....start signing up and picking your players for Week 1! Hopefully this turns out alright, I've never seen something like this before. I'll start working on the schedule a bit later.

From: Xuxon | #018 think i would prefer the more standard MLB Survivor (pick 1 team per week, they have to win half their games, can't pick them again) but this cool
Jose Bautista
(can't believe no one else is picking him)
Saving him.
