I also just realized that the split timeline theory makes a lot of sense of why Dirk and Roxy haven't been assassinated, or received attempts thereof (not counting their dream selves). It seems kind of weird for the Condesce to just ignore them like that after killing their parents unless they weren't around to be killed until after she left to take over the Incipisphere.

I assume that Jane probably created Dirk through ectobiology. Though it is quite possible that Dirk ends up creating himself, too. Wouldn't surprise me.
As for this future theory, it makes more sense than any human-troll world theory I've ever heard. But now that the theory's out there, if it ends up being correct, will Hussie treat the plot twist the same way he treated the "shocking revelations" in Hivebent? Having watched the flash a few times now I am convinced that the coolest part of it is when the Condesce shows up in a Jack: Ascend callback and the 'Black' motif is suddenly introduced to the song, to punctuate the first time we've seen her in an animation. Slick.
I think it's interesting that the song was written a year ago and just seems to be a Dave song and Hussie repurposed it to tell a completely different narrative that seems to fit it perfectly, like it was the purpose for the song all along. ... Copied to Clipboard!
