If board 8 was a reality tv show yoblazer would be the announcer. An all seeing presence and a rare breed of user who transcends niches managing to slip his hand into every corner of the board. There are surprisingly few jack of all trade users in this place and its often been remarked as a feature of board 8 having various niches and users who are defined as predominantly active in that area. Of those blazer is probably the most prominent being someone whos been doing it since the beginning of time, is still as active then as he is today and has managed to maintain a positive presence throughout those communities.
Points of Impact
-> Stats Contributor and a regular at contest discussion. Part of the stats podcast, contest analysis crew and creator of the all-time classic matches list. -> Creator of more random things like average board 8'er series of threads and "Best Ass in gaming"
Notable Moment:
Lost his original account in a bet with Sir Chris. Although at least he sided with the better game and the one that should have won. =/
Brd 8 s vrrtd bt t s gd wy t wst tm nd hv fn - Zach's vowel-less praise for Board 8.
It's somewhat ironic given his fads that Zachnorn would be one of the most underrated and under appreciated users of his time. While never churning out sterling projects on the cutting edge of creativity or popularity he was regularly producing the goods on ideas and contributions that were original, interesting and a positive addition to the community.
He could accurately be called a project whore, often being the one to set wheels in motion on an ideas road to bigger things.
Points of Impact
-> Creator of the original Board 8 Wiki -> Eats Nintendogs -> Instigator of the board 8 stickam community. -> Popularised the "Lets Play" idea to the board. -> Hosted the Board 8 WhatPulse team. -> Created the board8bot -> Host of the "If it were up to Board 8" contest.

WVI was one of the worst project whores I'd ever seen. At least with Zach when he had an idea something happened with it, with WeeVee there was plenty of ideas and they usually never turned into anything.

Nah, you're just a dick to be a dick. You state controversial opinions and then goad people into being dicks to you so you could justify to yourself being an a****** to others.
In reality you're even worse than the people who attack you, but you manage to hide it in a thick layer of self-delusion and/or trolling prowess. There's a good reason people view you more as a joke user than someone to have a real conversation with. I mean, people respect f***ing ertyu more than you, and that guy has some serious issues (or is by far the most dedicated troll in the history of the internet).
But hey, keep embracing controversy so people will continue to notice you on a message board.
lol, are you serious there? I cannot force anyone to be a dick, there is absolutely no excuse to act in a hostile manner towards me because I do not act that way towards others (unless I am responding to something of that sort). It is, of course, not my problem when people choose to take personal offence and insult me just because I don't like the same games they do, for instance.
Anyone can have a "real conversation" with me as long as they desire to. They do not need to do anything more than approach me in a civil manner. It's normal for people to respect Ertyu, as he's one of, if not the best Board 8 user of all time. I do not see how that has any bearing on the conversation here.
And if you actually believe I am "trolling" or "embracing controversy so people will notice me," that's incredibly naive. I fully stand by everything I say, what I post here reflects my views. I do not go for "shock value," I do not crave for attention, my goal here is nothing more than to have fun, which should be everyone's goal on a message board like this. Just because my opinion differs from the general board opinion on a number of subjects doesn't mean I am lying about my views. Perhaps I am just more informed in some occasions, in others, it's just a matter of preference.
People who appreciate my input here are all quite intelligent, and I have also managed to win over quite a few users over the years. That's some food for thought for you.

no you don't FORCE people to be dicks, in the same way that beating a dog until it bites you is not FORCING it to bite you, but if it does bite you after you've beaten it, who is to blame?
You claim that any dickery on your part is just "in response to what others have said to you" but anyone and everyone plays that card. I see you instigate s*** with people like transience and icon but I've never seen a post from either of them that is either directed at you or about you that is not a direct response to something you've said to/about them. The interactions always start with you.
I'm neglecting to respond to the part about arguing over game preferences because I don't care about any of that.
I have seen people approach you in a civil manner for conversation, in fact usually it's ertyu. Others like sess and sephyg who make topics directed at you and others also. However, every conversation I've seen involving you that has gone in a negative direction has done so because you've said something to spark it, intentionally or not. You act like you're self-aware but you really are not. I've unintentionally pissed people off without realizing it at the time and when they overreact, I re-overreact to them, but in the end I can go back and see what I've said/done and realize that I was the cause of the problem inadvertantly. You are either unable or unwilling to do the same, which is why I find it difficult to believe that your negative interactions with people are in line with "your life moving forward."

I disagree. I think he is self-aware of his actions yet keeps up with his behavior for laughs.
To be honest, I should probably let up on Vlado because he's actually a pretty good troll and I respect him for it. It's the same way how I bash Smurf despite him using his lists and nationality to troll the board. They're both solid, dedicated trolls, and both get my respect for it.

I've taken that approach before. The guy has such an ego that when I made a long elaborate post about him being a troll (which won me a Karma Hunter award for criticizing Vlado), Vlado gave me his award too for the same post, so he felt as though my post which focused on criticizing him was an excellent post. For all of his innumerable and debilitating flaws, I have to say that he is fun as hell to argue with. I don't even need to have a problem with what he says. Sometimes I just see a post where Vlado's being Vlado and I just can't resist the urge to get into an argument with him about it.

It was just a very well-written post, so I felt it deserved the award, even if it spoke negatively about me. Simple evidence that I am an honest person.

Nonsense. As I said, I am not hostile towards anyone in the first place, so your analogy doesn't work.

If I've exposed and criticised those two's behaviour on the board, it has been as part of my journalistic work. As they say, "nothing personal." As a journalist, I am obliged to call out negative deeds for the board, as well as bad judgement, among others.
But, mind you, never once have I called either of those two an "idiot," "a******" or "douche," while such insults and many others have been hurled towards me countless times. How is that justifiable, explain.

I do not see why a simple argument on the internet over trivial matters like video games must be considered a "problem." It's not me who should change, it's people who should get a clue. Why does everyone take everything so personally around here? For instance, I laugh at people buying the same thing over and over again and some Pokemon fans (for one) immediately take offence. Why? I certainly would not take personal offence if someone took a stab at a general group I associate myself with (let's say, Final Fantasy VII fans). I may post a bit to defend the group in response, but I certainly would not get mad and start calling the other person an "idiot."
That's the big difference between me and a great part of the board - I can make the difference between trivialities and stuff that really counts.
I am a very complex person, and what is seen here is merely a fraction of who I am. The general messages I spread here are:
1. To always think for yourself and not blindly follow the herd 2. To be yourself, to stay true to yourself and not be two-faced for some inane reason (like e-popularity) 3. To treat everyone well (unless they are currently doing enough to deserve otherwise) and not just your circle of friends
And, of course... To have fun! This is, after all, a gaming message board on the internet
To number 3, for instance, if someone you don't like much because he is a deluded Zelda fanboy and you dislike the series, and you've argued and even called each other names many times, asks for computer help, you help him because the context is completely different. You are helping the person, not the Zelda fanboy.
The rest are quite self-explanatory.

You're a dude who posts things on a message board just like everyone else here. You have no journalistic credentials that are recognized and/or validated on this forum, so if you have any actual credentials at all, no one here can be expected to give three-quarters of a rat's ass. You can call yourself a journalist, and I can call myself God. Maybe to you, you ARE indeed a journalist. Well, maybe to me, I AM God... Any label you choose to slap on yourself is only as good as the willingness of the people to acknowledge it. The same goes for labels you choose to slap on others. You've exposed nothing. You don't like those two and you talk s*** and you try to sound important while doing it. "Obliged," lol. In that case, as God, I'm obliged to make annoyances like you disappear... s***, I can't. I guess I'm not God after all :(
But, mind you, never once have I called either of those two an "idiot," "a******" or "douche," while such insults and many others have been hurled towards me countless times. How is that justifiable, explain.
Because you are.
I do not see why a simple argument on the internet over trivial matters like video games must be considered a "problem."
Neither do I, because I don't care about video game opinions. Moving on...
That's the big difference between me and a great part of the board - I can make the difference between trivialities and stuff that really counts.
Each of the more than 6 billion people on the planet make that difference, but it's based on the perception of the individual.
I am a very complex person, and what is seen here is merely a fraction of who I am.
The human brain is complex. Again, this applies to each of the more than 6 billion people on the planet.
1. To always think for yourself and not blindly follow the herd 2. To be yourself, to stay true to yourself and not be two-faced for some inane reason (like e-popularity) 3. To treat everyone well (unless they are currently doing enough to deserve otherwise) and not just your circle of friends
How generic of you...

I really don't care about things like "zelda fanboy" and "not zelda fanboy" or "help with computer."
