From: JaKyL25 | #247 I find the biggest flaw in the Road to Wrestlemania being the fact that at least one person gets into a title match at WM easy while 3 people have to really fight for it.
One person has to win the Rumble, and 2 others have to win Chamber matches. The 4th guy (and sometimes the 5th guy) just kinda stumbles into one of the most prestigious title matches of the year.
It's better when it's the reigning Champion (like Miz last year) at least.
The brand without a number 1 conteder should host a 20 man battle royal and the last 4 have an elimination match :O

I'm confused, who got an easy pass to Mania two years ago?
...well aside from cena who literally rematch-claused his way into the Main Event.

Just finished NXT, we should definitely synchtube it later.
NXT Heel Cole on commentary (the only place his unique brand of burial really works) with his old foil Josh, a really goofy heel turn, a pro wrestling wedding, HEATH SLATER, security camera footage, and finally an answer as to how Heel Cole and Heel Bryan can co-exist.
Just a beautiful show.

For those interested, this week's WWE house show events feature:
Punk vs. Ziggler for the WWE Championship in a continuation of their house show series. Show vs. Henry vs. Bryan for the WHC in a cage, reverting back to this matchup after a couple weeks of just Show vs. Bryan. Cody vs. Ted for the IC Title (a sign of a future challenger for Cody?) Barrett vs. Orton (Sunday only), in Orton's return to action from his injury. And of course the long-running Cena vs. Kane match they've been doing since December.

Tonight's ROH card in Philly (essentially their first canonical card of the year since the TV tapings haven't aired yet) and my thoughts on the matches and guesses on how good they will be:
ROH World Title Match Davey Richards (c) vs. Jay Lethal I'm actually very interested in this match not due to the outcome (Davey retains) but for the clash of styles, and to see where the crowd support lies. Lethal works a very crowd-pleasing style, and Davey captures every crowd through pure grit and workrate. This could be a **1/2 semi-trainwreck or it could be a ***3/4 fresh change of pace from recent ROH main events, with not a lot of ground in the middle (and I wouldn't wager too much on going over **** either).
No Holds Barred Eddie Edwards vs. Roderick Strong This weekend seriously needs to be the end of the 3-way Davey/Strong/Edwards feud. Eddie's got this blowoff match tonight, and then Davey gets Strong in a tag match tomorrow night, and then PLEASE let this group be done with each other. ****1/4 MotN, but it'll be the same MotN that's been happening for months except this time with some more brawling.
Proving Ground Match The Briscoe Brothers vs. Jigsaw/Hallowicked Always glad to see that ROH doesn't take itself so seriously that CHIKARA can't co-exist in the same universe. I don't expect the CHIKARA team to last the 15 minutes and get the title shot. Briscoes pull it out in the 13th minute, ***1/4
Four Corner Survival Tommaso Ciampa vs. Andy Ridge vs. Grizzly Redwood vs. Mike Bennett What a weird grouping. I'll say Ciampa pins Grizzly, Ridge pins Bennett, and then Ciampa pins Ridge. I have no clue how they expect to branch Bennett off into any new direction given these opponents unless it's a feud with Ridge. **
Chris Hero vs. Michael Elgin Should hopefully be Hero's final ROH match as he moves to the big time, and with Elgin's title shot coming soon, tanking Hero's elbows should be a great way to keep building him as Unbreakable. Elgin wins, ***1/2
Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team vs. Future Shock Haas/Benjamin will cement their heel turn, Cole/O'Reilly will continue to tease their breakup, WGTT win, ***1/2
Kenny King vs. Kevin Steen Could be ***3/4, or could be more angle than match. Hard to predict anything with Steen these days and that's what makes the angle great. Steen presumably wins to get him back on the road towards a title shot, although ROH finding a way to screw him wouldn't be out of the question. I think they'll save that for later though. Steen wins, ***3/4

It's amazing how when Cody Rhodes appears, Michael Cole becomes the voice of reason.
Actually it's just amazing how often Michael Cole is the voice of reason. As terrible a heel announcer he is, his co-workers somehow manage to be worse face announcers.

And Jack really isn't far from Zack on my preference list. Although sometimes I kind of hate Jack Swagger because he seems like a dope out of character.

From: PrivateBiscuit1 | Posted: 1/20/2012 8:33:18 PM | #287 For that matter, is there anyone who would say Zack Ryder is their favorite? I mean, I love Zack and all... but there's no way he'd be my favorite.
