I think most people who've been watching for a couple decades now and really really care about the in-ring work will pick Malenko over either, but that could be just as biased of an opinion since he never had any charisma to distract from his ring work; the only thing anyone is ever going to remember Dean for is how good he was in the ring, whereas Punk's ability on the mic manages to overshadow his ring work pretty soundly. Like you said earlier, it's highly subjective. Like, I'm sure there must have been a lot of great stuff in World Class Championship Wrestling beyond the Von Erichs and the Freebirds, but that's the sole legacy the company carries today.
