I was just gifting people stuff on Steam, and there was a Steam friend online that I didn't recognize. I know most people on my Friend's list, but decided to say hello and give him a gift. We talked some and he found me through some videos I have on my Youtube, added him on Skype and it was all fun. However, we were talking about games and I mentioned Zelda and it was then that it clicked together.

To make a long story short, the guy I was talking to was Jeron Moore, the producer of the Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert and Video Games Symphony, as well as composing currently for 3D Realms. I had no idea but he was a pretty cool guy. XD

Anyone ever run into anything similar? Stories like these are always interesting.

I once saw Robert Carlyle in an Indian restaurant, but I live in LA, so that's not really a huge deal. My sister's boyfriend once ran into Brent Spiner.

I've met people like that before, and I'm even Facebook friends with one. I don't like to say who it is, because some of the people I know don't like it when you make a big deal out of it, and besides that, I don't like talking about people I know in real life on the Internet.

What I will say is that one person I met was just someone I would study with in school. Found out that he or she won a major award. Thought it was cool, he or she was modest about it, and then we just continued studying to get a good grade in the class.

Any poker players may recognize the name Aaron Kanter. He was the guy that crippled Greg Raymer in the 05 Main event. He was at my table last wsop I played and I didn't realize who he was until about 5 minutes after I made the comment of "Well at least none of you guys are Phil Ivey."

We met Paul MaGrill and a couple other pros but not a ton of name value

I also saw Eriq La Salle (from ER) last week and didn't recognize him, though some other people around me did.

I've run into a LOT of celebrities (lol Los Angeles), but there was one time up here in San Francisco at an In-N-Out where my wife swooped in to sit next to me on a bench so this older guy wouldn't sit next to me. For a full 10 minutes, the guy just stood next to her, kind of lingering while waiting for his food. Neither of us wanted to make eye contact because we were slightly embarrassed that we swiftly stole a seat from him. It wasn't until he went up to grab his food that we realized it was George Lucas.

THAT'S RIGHT GEORGE LUCAS, **** YOU. WE TOOK YOUR SEAT AND WE LIKED IT.

About twelve years ago when I was working at a movie theater I sold tickets to a pro wrestler named X-Pac (i think that was it) and his family. After they had left the box office stand three of my coworkers came up to me excited that I sold tickets to a celebrity. I was totally confused until the explained that I just sold tickets to a pro wrestler. Apparently my coworkers had been impressed that I wasn't all giddy like a school girl while talking with this X-Pac guy until they realized I had no idea who he was.
