Previous results: a. Board8's favorite son crushed Shadowlord and danced on its grave, earning its way to a potential repeat performance today where today's winner will face GGX and then AT2 to end this thing. Chrono Cross advances, 24-6. b. And, as if I could script this thing any better, the JFF finals results in a tie. I had one loose day remaining of 1v1, and now we plug that hole with a tiebreaker for the finals. What could be more exciting than that? Jumper (Castle Crashers) and Rendezvous (Sora) tie 8-8.

Loser's Bracket B Champion - Chrono Cross Scars of Time
I approve of the crushing Shadowlord got. Garbage song, and I don't say that about many pieces. The fact that the Nier soundtrack is, in general, pretty good makes the love that that song gets absolutely puzzling. Good thing it got quadrupled.
Cya NieR, smell ya later. And the train keeps on rolling today. Iron Blue Intention is just no match for Scars. I may not love SoT the way the board does, but it's the obvious choice for today.
Scars of Time
I had a hard time choosing today's JFF tracks. The Castle Crashers choice was a snap decision, but I really couldn't pick between the two remaining Sora songs. I ultimately went with the alt, but the skipped song was also very good. I'm going to post the link so people can tell me how they would have voted for Sora if I had picked the other song instead.
Novation -
However, I will simply defend my position by stating that it's the song that makes *ME* vote for Sora over Castle Crashers. I think I would have gone the other way with Novation. The funny thing is that my first impression when I looked at what I had to work with was "aww, yeah. Simple Sight. I can't believe I had to skip that." And then I listened to it this morning and I was completely not interested in it.

I think someone is being way, way too sensitive. Do we have to stop saying "You got owned" in order to not offend black people due to slavery? - wg64Z

Oh, a big machine with flashy lights. A big machine like that has me written all over it. Well, okay, it doesn't. But give me time... and a crayon --11th Doctor
Icarus, easily. Simple Sight isn't nearly as good as the other Castle Crashers songs in this contest, while Icarus is just more of Sora's best. Now will someone please tell me what Sora is?!

Okay, time to start the preparations for the next contest. Gotta be almost time for VGMC6, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KloeGqCPszo
Listened to Novation as well. You made the right choice.
You also made the right choice by posting the link to Novation, because in the "related videos", I finally got to see a gameplay video of Sora. And...now it makes sense why I love its music so much. It's another bullet hell game!
Maybe I should go work on my Castle of Shikigami III now.

Iron Blue Intention is still okay, but Scars of Time easily crushes it. This has to be one of the most lop-sided matches in terms of quality, which makes for a disappointing loser bracket finale, I'm afraid. Simple Sight is catchy but nowhere near as good as most of the other tracks I have heard in this tournament. Icarus is... Well, it is okay, but Simple Sight barely edges out, I think. I am really not getting the Sora love overall. It's not bad, I just don't think it stands out. =/

You laugh at my Celtic Guardian, until I use my Scapegoat, and then United We Stand, Mage Power, and 3 Axe Of Despairs, with Gaia Power out. 11900/7800
Iron Blue Intention Tough decision. Overall, and this might be poor judgment on my behalf, I just felt that if the Castlevania track had the same level of sound quality that Scars had, I would've easily voted for it, and that it was unfair to not vote for it as a result.
Icarus In what is possibly one of the easiest matches all contest for me personally. On another note, I have to agree with Mycro about Novation. Definitely better, and that's saying something.
