Welcome to another round of the Best OST Contest, where we decide the best game soundtrack by voting on the songs in it.
Condensed rules and guidelines: * You must listen to both songs in the match. Use the provided links. * You must vote on the songs in the match. Not the game's overall music. Not how much you like the game itself. ***VOTE ON THE SONGS*** * To help enforce rule 2, All votes must be given for the song title, not the game or the seed number. No exceptions. * Normal contest rules apply about alts, rallying, multi-voting, etc. * No mid-thread tallies, please. * Matches run 24 hours from when they start.
Previous results: a. Armored Armadillo was too well-shielded for Theme of Love to put a dent in this match. Mega Man X advances, 20-14. b. Happiness of Marionette shows no sign of weakness, and easily dispatches Centennial Festival. Umineko advances, 23-10.

12. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia vs 4. Guilty Gear X
Haha, pretty sure I know where this one's going. I'm probably the biggest Touhou fan here and even I needed some time to consider this one, because Schala's Theme is actually damn good. But having just seen a better Touhou song than The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Saw lose to a worse song than Schala's Theme from a game that is a big Board 8 favorite but less so than Chrono Trigger? Pretty much no chance. (And yes, I do believe that the games themselves do affect people's voting patterns.) Gah...this could go either way, so I have to go with The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Saw for the anti-blowout. Hopefully Mountain of Faith can at least salvage enough of this match to get a favorable position in the Loser's Bracket.
Mercifully, our other match today is a complete mismatch. The Original is far better than Dissonant Courage.

The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Watched (dear translators: just because something is written in the passive voice in Japanese does not mean it should be written in the passive voice in English) Dissonant Courage (odd choice, from both OST's)

Oh, a big machine with flashy lights. A big machine like that has me written all over it. Well, okay, it doesn't. But give me time... and a crayon --11th Doctor
TheKnightOfNee posted... Holy crap I feel like there's a Touhou song in this every day.
Four made round 2, which lasts for 8 days, so yeah...would be even worse in round 3 except they're all getting shot down now. Might be down to one left after today. Of course, we have a string of CV games now. One today and two tomorrow.
The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Watched Dissonant Courage
Schala's Theme is lovely, and it certainly could have gotten my vote in some other matches. I prefer The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Watched though, it's a great theme. As for the second match... Ouch. I thought Dissonant Courage would be better received than that. The Original is okay, but I'm not a big fan of the saxophone, to be honest. It's a more unique piece and pretty interesting, but it doesn't fit my tastes.

You laugh at my Celtic Guardian, until I use my Scapegoat, and then United We Stand, Mage Power, and 3 Axe Of Despairs, with Gaia Power out. 11900/7800

ya right you are case the sunglasses have 3d so i can see right threw their clothes -ertyu (about wearing sunglasses to stare at boobs without girls noticing)
Schala's Theme Neither really stood out to me; Primal Scene got a little bit monotonous to me though and definitely didn't flow perfectly for me, so...
The Original Can't say I even like this track one bit, but at least its better than that... pathetic attempt at a wild pokemon battle theme, as far as I'm concerned.
