Rules: - Rate from 0 to 10 (one decimal place is fine, more than that and I'll round for you). I'd prefer if 5 were an average rather than 7. - You may vote for any games you want that have been rated before at any time. You may also change your vote at any time. - No alts, no joke voting, no purposeful downvoting - you all know this. - Please only vote if you've played enough of the game to be able to rate it. - You may nominate as many games as you want on any given day. Multiple noms of the same game aren't necessary. Spreadsheet with prior games/ratings: https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?hl=en&hl=en&key=0Ap-Cxjhwem1PdFR5Wk1NUkhDX3NmM3NIU1hVaFFZY2c&output=html

Despite it only receiving 9 ratings, that was more than I expected. It even challenged for a spot in the Top 10
Today's game is widely considered to be the black sheep of the series here on the board, in many cases almost solely due to the fact that it shifted from being an RPG like the previous two installments to an action/platformer hybrid

It wasn't bad but it just doesn't stack up at all to the preceding Paper Mario games which were absolute classics. The stupid shifting from 2d to 3d got old quick and didn't add much to the game. Also, the story and characters just didn't have that charm about them that the previous games had and I had to force myself to finish the game :(

It may not have had the atmosphere like the first two games and the shift to an action/platformer didn't bring an appropriate difficulty level (way too easy for the main game), but it was very fun and I loved the uniqueness of the abilities of Mario and his companions, both the pixels and Peach/Bowser/Luigi.
I am still trying to beat the Sammer Guy's level and the final version of the Pit of Trials (don't know if that's what they called it here)
