basic sequence of that...
- punk vs. hhh lookin' good, punk looking better between 'em. - awesome truth comes out, gets both, covers hhh with it. - 2 count so they kill the ref. - hhh and punk get rid of 'em. - johnny ace comes out, has a ref check a ref. - hhh pedigrees, no ref. - punk gts's, ref goes in. truth breaks the count. - hhh pedigrees, punk kicks out. - johnny ace texts nash to kill both and have punk win from the looks of it. - punk saves hhh. i believe he also saved hhh during awesome truth's removal. - punk gets powerbombed. - hhh sledgehammers nash, people flee or something, goe sback in ringg, pedigrees again for the win. - hhh tells punk to suck it even though punk was the one who took the most punishment AND saved hhh's ass twice when he didn't need to. -- The future must protect the clone's past. Although thinking back, this match kind of made Punk look surprisingly strong. I don't think Hunter even kicked out of the GTS at all, the pin Truth broke up came after I think the only one, and Truth's...thing plus two Pedigrees still didn't put him down, and it took a Jacknife and a freaking third Pedigree to finish him. To be fair, it's not like Truth and Miz specifically ONLY attacked H and then tried to help Punk win. They attacked BOTH and then dragged Punk on top. That seems more of a "lesser of two evils" than a "we want Punk to win." If you really want to give R-Truth too much credit, you can just think that given John Laurenitis coming out like that and purposefully trying to make Punk win, that he was trying to stop whatever outcome John wanted too.

I feel like the whole Punk/HHH cluster was because they really wanted to book Punk/Nash at NoC but Nash wouldn't job, so they pushed up what was to be the next match in the storyline. But they still wanted their Punk/HHH Cell match at the next PPV, so they just threw everything they could in there to give it the most undecisive finish possible and have a rematch at HiaC.
But what really bugs me is the stipulation booking in this match. You saw this in the Punk/Rey feud last year too, and other times I can't remember. Book a stipulation where something interesting happens if one guy wins, but instead the other guy wins and nothing happens. Seems like a good way to predict what's gonna happen in these matches: whichever outcome is consequence-free for the writers is the one they'll go with. -- Black Turtle spilled my diet soda! ... Didn't like the HHH/Punk finish at all. At least we only had to look at 2 of the 3 WWE supermen win tonight. Beth having to job to Kelly is pretty unfortunate too. Del Rio was always going to have a hard time looking legit next to Cena and Punk who people just naturally care about so much more. He was booked poorly and it was honestly kind of hard to care about him once he had the strap. He was going to need the perfect booking and perform absolutely flawlessly to not look like a joke for interrupting the real exciting program the company was putting on. Throw into the mix that he had visa problems(if he has ever booked to win, the finish changed after that, WWE hates complications regarding their top champ) and missed a raw during the middle of his ppv build and yeah, guy looked like a joke. His comic book antics helped solidify it. It was to the point where Cena won me over to wanting Cena to be champ with that promo. And I hate Cena. I dont want to say Del Rio wasn't ready, but for all the chances they had to push him to the top,if you notice every single one fizzled out the second he was in line for the title. The only time it may have looked legit is if he beat Christian at Extreme Rules, since his build there was actually good and it felt like he probably deserved to be champ, a feeling absent at mania and this entire post MitB angle. -- http://img.imgcake.com/nio/81edpngej.png ...
