after he made this vote in the FF7 vs. KOTOR match...
"I want to support what I'll be playing for the first time in a few weeks hopefully.
DOUBLE EFF SEVEN"
I showed the quote to a few people because I thought it was funny. turns out everyone I've shown it too has a funny story of something they remember him saying once.

That weird-ass alternate plot he was writing for Metroid Other M that involved Shadow of the Colossus and didn't count any non-Prime games as canon or some s*** like that. These were the first posts of his I noticed so I figured he was just some bad troll trying to get a reaction but then as I saw him post more I realized he was serious
That time the AoD came up about whether or not he should be banned from nominating stuff. He was all "I guess I should put more thought behind my noms" and then he followed that by posting, like, five terrible nominations.
that time in the Board 8's Top 100 Video Games contest, in the "post your 20 favourite video games", he listed FF7 #1 and OoT #2 despite never having played either of them
there was also tons of other games in his list that he never played, like I believe MGS was on it too
-- Miyamoto: [cats] are kind of like girls. If they come and talk to you it's great. But if you try to talk to them it doesn't always go so well
The good ol' days when he would go to the stats topics and go "Well, according to Gamerankings.com..." and would then post their top 100. Rinse and repeat for every website or magazine with a top games list ever.
my favorite was in tranny's game topic when he wrote a wall of text about some game and the post got ignored, and then tranny asked a question to someone else and LMS asked if it was directed to him and answered it anyways.
tranny then posted "no it's not directed to you, nobody wants to talk to you or pays attention to your posts" or something. i giggled.
because link isn't one of his favorites anymore. isn't that ironic that he has link in his username despite not really caring for him? plus ocarina of time is quite overrated so it definitely must make him feel pretty silly being associated with that constantly. wind waker link is a much better link.

Had he even played a LoZ game when he made his account?

OmarsComin posted... he recently decided he wouldn't play the Ratchet & Clank series because it reminded him of Metroid Other M.
I never said this at all! I just said that it was the closest I've gotten to Ratchet & Clank! And in retrospect, maybe Super Mario Galaxy would be a better choice!

Currently Playing - StarCraft Hopefully Next Up - Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Brood War
I'm sorry for however annoying I may have been lately. The only time I seem to "get on your nerves" is when you trash Wind Waker or something though, so I guess I should explain that a bit.
My top 16 games are what I consider to be my "all-time" favorites, where I absolutely can't stand much in the way of people trashing the games, and the rest of the ones here are "I find them amazing and can understand why people would consider them to be their favorite games, but I wouldn't say so myself" (except for the #25 slot). As you can see, only two Zelda games are in my top 16: A Link to the Past and The Wind Waker; Twilight Princess, Majora's Mask, and Ocarina of Time are all right outside. Apology Message (part 2)
I have a feeling that your "death of Nintendo" comment is targeted towards Zelda drones or similar people - I think my list should put most doubts to rest that I am not a Zelda drone at all. As a matter of fact, aside from exact opposite opinions on modern Nintendo, our gaming tastes seem largely similar. I just have a bit of an issue with the N64 compared to the GameCube and Wii when it comes to software libraries.
I was thinking of you for some reason when I was trying to play FF6's main theme on piano, which is why I'm writing this PM. I'm still waiting (and man it's aggravating!) on moving to Britain so that I can order a PS3 off of amazon.com ASAP once that happens, and I'll download FF7 and MGS1 using the PS3 to hype myself for the MGS HD collection. Apology Message (part 3)
For whatever reason, I was laughing as I was reading your message.
Would you like to know my hopeful gaming plans for the next...good while? Sent by LinkMarioSamus to UltimaterializerX on 8/5/2011 7:04:38 AM This message was first read on 8/5/2011 5:43:18 PM
New Update on the Move
Unfortunately, now, at earliest the move will take place in the fourth week of August. Since that signifies the earliest I can start FF7, I decided there were four possible plans of action until then:
1) Nothing. 2) Brood War campaigns 3) Star Fox 64 4) Super Mario RPG (I just feel like I NEED MORE SQUARE now)
I would like to know your view on this. Sent by LinkMarioSamus to UltimaterializerX on 8/5/2011 11:49:53 PM This message was first read on 8/6/2011 5:01:11 AM
New Ideas for Placeholder Playthrough
I ultimately decided that getting to FF7 ASAP will be a better idea than attempting to stuff Brood War in since my computer needs a break (I'm using it so often!). As a result, I've narrowed down the "placeholder" playthrough to three choices, though Brood War is still sort of in consideration:
1) Star Fox 64 2) Super Mario RPG 3) Super Metroid
There are two big reasons for the last choice:
1) The Metroid series is turning 25 this year. 2) No game I've played made better use of production values IMO (this fits in with FF7).
Note that I played through Super Metroid about a year ago and that was a repeat playthrough - so it's a game I've played through twice vs. two that I've only played parts of. Sent by LinkMarioSamus to UltimaterializerX on 8/6/2011 8:10:06 PM This message was first read on 8/7/2011 6:19:22 AM
