Pac-man is one of two games I consider perfect (the other being Tetris) and Ms. Pac Man certainly isn't any worse.

I always found it funny that the (initially) unofficial Pac-Man sequels by Bally Midway (Ms., Jr., Baby) are all more well-regarded and better designed than the official ones by Namco (Super, Pac & Pal)

Pac-Man hasn't stood the test of time especially well, but Ms. Pac-Man is a different story. It's much more varied than the original was, the gameplay was polished up a fair amount... and all in all, it's just a flat-out classic.
