Kamisama Dolls and No 6 put into integrity, which basically means they have to impress me soon (or enough until the lock in point, which would be Episode 6)
I've felt for a few episodes now that the show has been kinda just good, certainly not what it was at the start. Last episode focused on like the 2 worst characters in the entire show. The character development has slowed, and it just seems like they are coasting to the end of the series. They need to Fest it Up
Mac Arrowny posted... if not for penguindrum being legit, it would be my uncontested show of the season so far, and is still top 5 for the year to date.
Huh? Being legit is...a bad thing?
its a good thing, hence why its ahead of kamisama dolls to me.

Finally caught up on most things after around a week's break.
Dantalian no Shoka is boring. Dalian's a lot like Victorique except so far, inferior.
Kami-sama no Memochou has gotten better, though I don't feel strongly about it yet at all.
Mayo Chiki is really damn stupid and I despise when it tries to be serious because it really doesn't work. It's actually entertaining apart from that.
No. 6 is also boring. Weak characters, a story that isn't engaging.
iDOLM@STER is still pretty bad.
Usagi Drop is great, adorable, and heartwarming.
Penguindrum is likewise a very good watch, the ending to the last episode was very interesting and the SURVIVAL STRATEGY segments are awfully fun to watch. Feels like a breath of fresh air, haven't ever seen anything quite like it.
Ikoku Meiro no Croisee is show of the season and so far may be show of the year, I haven't loved a show this much for a while.
The Higurashi Kira OVA was ****, didn't even feel like Higurashi. I can appreciate fanservice and comedy, I mean I liked Rei, but this was just terrible. Never even laughed.
Croisee > Penguindrum > Usagi Drop > good anime > Memochou > Mayo Chiki > Dantalian no Shoka > No. 6 > iDOLM@STER
Just now beated the second Shiki special. I didn't like it as much as the first one, didn't really feel like it had much of a payoff, but it did give some answers. Motoko's insanity is a little unbelievable but a lot of fun to watch. The way she knocks on doors is awesome.
Memochou EP4: Kind of a weak episode after the third one. This show will probably be up and down like this all season.
Ao no Exorcist EP16: This was a pretty good, the episode itself was kind of slow, but still entertaining.
Croisee EP5: This episode was great. Probably the best one in the series yet.
Yuru Yuri EP5: I can not stress how good this show is now. The ending was kind of WTF though.
Kamisama Dolls EP5: Omg stuff happened, we get actual plot/character development, and some good Combat. Needless to say this episode saved the show from a drop.
Random stuff.
Lately I've been comparing Ao no Exorcist to one of my favorite shows in its genre, Soul Eater. While Ao no Exorcist is a really good series, I can't help but say when comparing them Soul Eater's cast is a lot stronger. Yeah, it has had twice the episodes to build them, but Exorcists side characters just seem kind of there, while Soul Eaters seemed to have some significant parts in the story.
Randomly watched Trigun. Been putting off watching it for a long time and was long overdue. Thought the show started really strong but then as the plot became less episodic and more focused to the actual point of the story it got worse. Still good overall but I can't help but be disappointed as the first 5-10 episodes or so were probably 9-10/10 material-- it was nothing fancy and kinda pointless but the humor and action ratio was pretty nailed down pat.
I give it a 7 in the end. Kinda started to drag at the end-- too much fighting, basically.
Also uh.
*slight Trigun spoilers*
Also slight F/SN spoilers I suppose
So uh... why is it that Vash seems almost universally liked, yet Shirou from F/SN is a love him or hate him kind of character? Vash had pretty much the same problems Shirou had so yeah I don't get it. I mean, Vash makes up for it better cause he's funnier, but his "no one has the right to kill anyone" bit was pretty grating after a while. Keep in mind this is someone who actually likes Shirou as a character, and who wasn't terribly annoyed by Shirou doing this saying this too.
*end spoilers
-- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love!
I think its because Vash looks badass. I didn't really like him when I watched Trigun (I didn't like Kenshin either, I hate those "Goody Goody" type of characters) but I do need to give his character design props at least.
yeah, nothing beats those glasses and red trenchcoat.
Updates
1. No. 6 EP5 This episode was actually kind of decent until like the dancing part, and then I was like "WTF". Actually, once again nothing happens in this episode really, no real movement of the plot, and the characters are just about the same. All we know is that Rat plays a girl in a play, which we already knew.
2. Usagi Drop EP5 Good episode. All the episodes in the show will probably be around this level. I don't expect to be blown away by any of them, but I don't think I'll be disappointed either.
3. The iDOLM@STER EP5 Beach episode, fan serviceeee. Miki, again, that she's the best character and that her breasts were not too big for this episode. It was actually a decent episode. Yeah, it might have been better for them to develop a character, but it was a decent fun to watch ep.
4. Mayo Chiki! EP5 Set up for what might be a huge encounter next episode. Introduced a new character, etc.
5. Mawaru Penguindrum EP5 Survival Strategy returns and it's glorious. Things happen in the episode, I don't know what's going on, I know that things will be explained later though. The part with the penguins playing doctor though was the best.

Uh, what? That's not the reason people hate Shirou at all. Shirou doesn't even feel particularly bad when he does kill people. Shirou's lame because he's immature and sexist. Vash at least understands the conflicts that arise because of his ideals.
I'm talking about the immaturity of his ideals. People like Shirou much more at the end of UBW when his understanding of his ideals is much more mature, but the ideals themselves are still fundamentally the same.
Vash's philosophy isn't so much that killing is wrong no matter what, it's more that he believes people can change and that as long as they are still alive they have an opportunity to realize their mistakes and make up for them. Basically Rem's saying that "the ticket to the future is always blank". It might have gotten a little warped into more general pacifism in the anime. >_>

The only certain death in the universe is Mother Hitton's Littul Kittons. Not changing this line until I beat Seven Heroes (2/24/07)
No6 gets dropped. what a terrible show. Also, Memochou gets dropped too. In retrospect none of the episodes have been really good, and none of the characters have gotten real development, the show is just boring. At least some stuff happens in like Kamisama Dolls.
Also, this list will be updated once Baka to Test is subbed this week. Also, since I finished Natsume s2, S3 rankings will be added next set.
Due to the lack of shows remaining this season, I'll be able to catch up on some of my back log. This will include a rewatch of Last Exile and School Rumble. Followed by School Rumble S2, Working, and DRRR if I have time for that. (Previous Season's shows with a *)
This week's episodes have been pretty neat. Mayo Chiki for one I only had positive thoughts about, goes to show that it can actually be great if it never tries to be serious.
So yeah, the most recent anime I've watched is Gundam 00 so I probably don't have a place in these discussions but whatever. Rewatching the original film trilogy right now. Dated as hell in many ways but it still manages to be good. Particularly the third movie.

"You caused the rain to bleed." ~SCP~ http://img.imgcake.com/Jeffzeropngus.png "Thanks Punny!"
I guess I could post here. I've been watching Zeta Gundam for the first time. I'm at episode 42 and there's so much weird stuff in this show I wouldn't even know where to begin but I still like it. I get the feeling this main conflict won't end by the time the show does, though.

You beat yourself up with your past. Don't blame yourself, blame the world. Blame God. Blame me.
i actually just watched chars counterattack and f91 gundam yesterday. i relly liked both, even if were missing the crucial ink betweeen zeta char and chars counterttack char.
and F91 was amazing and as a series i think couldve been even better than zeta, as a movie they just cover so much ground so fast that alot of compelling drama gets reolved almost as quickly as its introduced. iron mask ws a neat villain though and seabook was a p coool guy.
Oh and I guess since the VN topic purged and making a new one is too much effort, I'll post about G Sen here. It's pretty cool so far, still only in Chapter 2 but I think I'm a decent way into it. My favorite characters so far are Maou and Haru. It's Tsubaki's chapter and she's alright but her personality is sort of annoying. >_>
