Alright guys, so a few days into my addiction, and I'm maining the following champions:

Morgana, Jax, Kayle and Veigar. I've been experimenting with a lot of different champions, and these are the four I find myself using the most, especially Morgana. Is there a suggested item flow for her?

And also, based on my favorites, do you guys have any other champ recommendations for me?

I'm big on support. I like not having to rely so much on predicting my enemies, and being able to focus on what my team is doing and... well... supporting them. I'll probably pick up Lux when I get home, because I've been eyeing her for a while now.

With Lux, you will have to predict your opponents' movements because with her it's best to keep your distance in fights.

Would you be willing to play a tank? It's good to know how every role on the team functions.

I could definitely do a tank.

I bought Taric, and I like what he does. Alistar seemeds interesting.

Also, I just read through this entire thread and I think I understand most of the acronyms, but I'm not sure...

AP in reference to a champion = champion focuses on AP? And then AD would be attack damage? AS attack speed and so on and so forth?

Okay, Shaco specifically attracts bad players. Fine. I'm just tired of always seeing the 450 champions, Annie, Heimerdinger, the tanks, and the ranged AD carries (minus Twitch). There are many champions who haven't gone on rotation once since I started playing, and I really want to try out most of them, like Karma.

Apparently the latest fad is joining the queue in groups, all picking Smite, and then feigning arguments over who out of Soraka or Tristana etc. gets to jungle. Count up the queue jumpers.

Just played a random beginner bot game with some people to see how fast we could make it. MF, Jax, Katarina, Teemo, and Nunu. The answer was 13 minutes, by all rushing mid and blitzing down the turrets.

Protip: if you all rush mid and destroy a turret, all of the bots will run mid and flank you from behind, and kill Teemo, wasting valuable time.

Probably! But man, that was a satisfying game. At one point I had only 32 creeps...and a completed bloodrazor. it was amazing to have an Alistar who knew what he was doing feeding me kills.

Just started playing, the only champion I don't totally suck as is Ashe because apparently years of sucking at DOTA has qualified me for playing as a Drow expy. Katarina is also pretty cool early/midgame but then totally blows late-game (yes I stack AP) when they all figure out that they need to stun me. Random question, are any other champions obvious expys of DOTA heroes?

What an amazing free week we get! Trundle finally free. Miss fortune gives me a ranged carry I can play not named tristana. But most importantly TRUNDLE. Tips for Morgana are simple depending on the role you're playing and team composition. If you're playing pure support then get as much Cooldown as possible. Try and use your snare to initiate fights on easy targets. Shield anyone that has an ult that can be interrupted like Nunu or shield the carry. If you're playing AP Morg then get rod of ages then rush Hourglass asap. Flash Ult Hourglass.

No, but they provide mana, AKA deeps, health, AKA tankiness, and MR, AKA more tankiness. They make for an excellent item on ryze even in multiples, beating RoA most of the time.

nah, I like RoA. Makes his Q and W not his only offensive spells. To that end, an hourglass is a great choice

I bought karma last week and my first few outings with hgr were rough to say the least because I tried playing her as a pure support. When I started playing her as a harassing quick burst champ who could heal allies when need be I developed what might be my best character. Her one downside was the W not doing direct damage. If they change that I will be pumped. W slow and start the damage, mantra E to burst and block their damage, mantra Q to burst again and heal whatever they did.

Goddamn, I'm having a huge crisis right now. I don't know what sales are going to be around the corner and I've got 2300~ RP to spare right now.

On the one hand, there's only one champion I have to have with this RP (Swain, since I already got my number one, Jarvan) but I'm freaking out about whether I should get him now or get more bang for my buck while he's on sale. Vladimir, Irelia, and Maokai are three other champs I'm looking at, but am shaky about, and I know Maokai went on sale not too long ago, so it could take forever to get him again at a discount.

I mean, I guess I could just get Swain now and get two of the other three later, but I probably couldn't get over the idea that I basically threw money away. The twenty bucks was chump change compared to the time spent grinding IP/what I earn in that time, but still...

Advice?

I'd definitely wait for the sale unless you're completely bored with what you have. Sales will eventually come for any given champion, and if it takes much too long you can just get him with IP at some point after you've runed out.

I only use RP for on sale skins myself, though. Not because I'm particularly stingy with money as much as I've never hit the point where I was bored with all my champs.
