kurtfisto posted... I liked the story of the first season more (or rather, the 1st movie) since it focused more on Fate, who's the only character in the series I really care about. This season had less of that for focus on inferior characters, plus some odd pacing and worse fights (mostly due to the worse art/animation since the movie improved that).
Pretty much why I think A's is worse than even the season 1 series

This is pretty much StrikerS. And even though it's 26 episodes they somehow managed to barely even touch on half of the new characters. There is quite literally an episode that is initially set up as being focused on those two new kids but then NOPE. Why even bother. Everything is SUBARU SUBARU SUBARU VIVIO VIVIO VIVIO.
Yandere Kanojo and Railgun read. Poor Ghost Hunter. Okay... Uiharu kinda scary there. Wait wait, what's with the girl with the hidden face? D'aaaaawwwww. Man, this series keeps crunching CMoA with CMoH.
After debate decided to drop Blade before episode 2. Also dropped R15 around half way through. Dropped Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi after the first episode. I might have kept it the character didn't seem to completely suck.
Oh, and Baka to Test 2 finally came out. The episode was pretty good, really more of the same from season one.
Also, Nichijou 15 was great.
Updated rankings tomorrow
To be watched: Sacred Seven 2 Hanasaku 15 Tiger and Bunny 15 Ao No Exorcist 13
And I've been watching Natume. On episode 10 (season 1) right now. After being on the fence for a while, it was not until episode 6 or so where i really started enjoying the show.
I'd just like to point out I'm waiting for at least 4 outta 6 Gundam Unicorn episodes to be out before I start watching 'em. Ha, and maaaaan they are taking their time with those.
th3l3fty posted... finished SDF Macross last night
gonna be watching the movie sometime in the next week, then moving on to Macross Plus
Hell yeah, love Macross! One of the uber classics. All good stuff you just mentioned.

beated Nanoha StrikerS, don't think it deserves the hate it gets. I actually prefer it over A's.
Nanoha's a ****ing badass in this series and I think it's great seeing the grown up main characters being the veterans this time. I have nothing against the show containing less lolis. The show had an alright start, a boring middle, and a great final arc. The villain was pretty one dimensional this time though I don't have too many gripes with that. The show had some neat fights, a lot of which happened off screen though. :(
The new cast was alright, I enjoyed seeing all of the old cast as well. I like some of their designs, such as Subaru's and Tia's.
Also just wanted to say that despite not liking Vita much, Graf Eisen is my favorite magical weapon in the series. God it's great.
So I've been recently having urges to re-experience Fate/Stay Night so I'll be picking up the anime next. Each of these episodes are 600 MB so I'm hoping for some high quality Fate goodness!
Finally got around to finishing Ore no Imouto True Route. The first two episodes of it were pretty neat, the last two were pretty lame though. The third seemed pretty much pointless, and the ending of the series was about as bad as the original ending was. I had high hopes for it to make the anime seem less pointless, but that wasn't to be. Oh well! Still a "decent" series I guess.

Penguindrum - Not getting the hype for this one, but will give it another chance Croisee - The first episode's middle parts were kindaaa boring but with episode 2 I've kinda grown attached to it. If it's only 6 episodes, might as well watch it. Idolm@ster - Makoto the best
Manyuu Hikenchou: On hold until an uncensored comes out. Normallly I would not care, but the censor is a friggen lightsaber that takes up half the screen.
Nekogami Yaoyorozu: Dropped. I'm not sure what I just watched.
Pretty good stuff. Don't really have much to say beyond that here. There's strangely not much to talk about despite it being good (which on the plus side means it doesn't have many flaws either, I suppose). I was hesitant for a while cause it had a damn furry in it but said furry ended up being A++.
Is the second season worth watching if you liked the first one? I'm kinda hesitant-- don't want it to be "ruined" and it apparently gets mixed reviews.

The main difference is that S2 has more focus on romance and less on economics. I like it a bit more than S1 but most people don't as you said. Definitely worth watching since it's great still and there will be an S3 at some point. probably
I guess I'll post about things I've watched lately.
Well I put everything airing I was watching on hold and am not watching anything airing this summer. I will make sure to highly "value" everyone here's opinion on the summer shows when I watch some when they finish.
I watched Trapeze. It was alright, coolest thing was the style. Lost major points for the 3DPD nurse though obviously. The literal psychology lectures every episode also got annoying since I've already learned that stuff in school anyway.
Right now, I'm watching Seitokai no Ichizon which is pretty funny. The best characters are obviously Ken and Mafuyu but they're all good. Also watching Gundam ZZ which is alright but the worst Gundam series I've seen so far.
Hm. I don't actually think that's necessarily a negative to me. I thought the chemistry between Horo and Laurence carried the show more than anything anyway. The economics thing was a decent enough plot hook and it was kinda unique so that was neat but yeah I wasn't all that attached to that aspect of the show or anything. Just served as something to keep the plot fresh. As long as any romance~ doesn't make the show feel stagnant it should be fine.
Guess we'll see whenever I get around to watching it, which will probably be sooner rather than later.
