well i mean there wass nothing WRONG with thempersay but theyjust seemed so generic. the girl was quiet and shy the guy was goodnatured guy down on his luck.

like there was just nothing to like. in a sea of characters that first ep the only to leave an impression was that bratty one-off girl.

The main two are the only ones in the first episode that really ever get much screen time. I mean other than them how many even had lines in the first episode? I guess they could have added some from the manga for some reason.

And neither of them is really generic anyway. I don't know of any other child characters that act like Rin or are as "deep." Daikichi isn't really down on his luck either, he just has no life. >_>

ehh, i can think of bunch of like background characters that behave that way. she may be deep but whats the upshot? some family drama i guess but other than them being uniformly terrible people why should icare about her or her pedophile nephew thing?

you and ltm are a bit different having read the manga , but fans of the anime who havent read it? outside of thinking rin super moe, i havent read like anything good about it, chrono1219s post earlier serves as some level of proof of that.

i dont think that and theres not really much to the characters so i would rather spend those 24 minutes doing something else.

The series isn't "moe" at all and but you're right that's literally all there is to the series
