There was an article on 999 and they briefly went over other "VNs" that made it to America with Ever17 being one of them....actually I think Ever17 was the only true VN that they mentioned since everything else were games like Snatcher and Phoenix Wright, and they even mentioned THIS game:

I never even heard of that game before!

The actual segment of the Ever17 part just regarded that it had same writer as 999, a little background of the company that localized it, and how rare it is.

Also I'm reading Da Capo and it's surprisingly not as terrible, despite being terribly generic. Only huge complaint I have? Choices. Thousands of themmmm. I don't want to make a blind guess as to where Kotori's stalking around today, damnit. It wouldn't be bad if I had the chance to quicksave at these choices, but of course there's no option for that. <_<

Still reading Clannad. I get the feeling I'm going to miss this VN... Well, at least there are the After stories, right? So it'll last a bit longer.

How far are you? After Story's really, really long. Plus, after you finish all of Clannad, there's still Tomoyo After. It's around 75% translated now, iirc.

I didn't really like Yukine, but I shall not allow any criticism of Kotomi!

... Or something like that. Kotomi probably reached Haru tier, though... Since Haru was previously my favorite VN character period, that's quite impressive.

Hm, has anyone here played the partial patch of Umineko Ep8? I just got done with it... quite interesting.

And I'm thinking of reading Higurashi. Is the music in it anything special or no?

I've played all of Umineko 8. I didn't think the first half was super interesting. I mean, it had some nice moments, but the premise was dumb.

Higurashi has some nice songs, but not amazing ones like Umineko. Better games overall though.

tomoya too low, kotomi too high, otherwise excellent list 'imo'

Surprised you didn't hate Ryou, though! Everyone tends to hate her as a gut reaction after her arc, me included, but after actually sitting on it for a few years, I like her a lot more. Still nowhere near goddesses like Kyou and Tomoyo, but not hateable (is that a word)

I didn't like Ryou in her/Kyou's route, but I liked her much better in Kappei's.

Also, G Senjou does have great music, but no, Umineko's is definitely better.
